Rapidgator Problems

I am a Rapidgator premium member. When I download files from them, at least 95% of the time the download fails. And I have to hit restart like 20 times before it finally finishes the download. It starts off awesome like 15 megs a second. Then it plummets to nothing and says failed. Is this my ISP Comcast throttling me or something? I have tried IE and Firefox they both do it. Its getting really annoying. I am thinking of changing to uploadable.ch

How many files are you trying to download at one time? When I try and download more than five through a browser I get some failed downloads. Try downloading the files in Jdownloader2 and play around with the simultaneous download limits. I have mine set at four and I haven't had any downloads fail since I started using the program.

I realize this is an old thread, I had never experienced this issue before I updated my old Windows 7 box to Windows 10. - I do not know if that has anything to do with it, but I never had to double check if a rapidgator download completed or not, once the download started I could pretty much bank on it completing, and I have downloaded at least 1,000 movies from them, likely 2000 or more but I use several hosts and don't really keep score, they do seem to be the most common host for most of the stuff I grab. I will try later on with a mac and see if there is any difference, but I never used mac with them before so I won't have a reference point. There do seem to be some files that fail every damn time, and others that I can get after a few tries so maybe they have some intermittent server issues or some nodes in their cluster that aren't well maintained/failing. That said I would be interested to know if anyone out there is able to succesfully download this file: http://rapidgator.net/file/25f5715811534a3494f1b701c07d83a8/DASD050.wmv.html as it fails early for me every time, I have reset my router, rebooted, disabled Kaspersky, etc. and made more than a dozen attempts over a few days.

I am also a premium member and rapidgator has been doing the same thing to me for over a month now. I am still using windows 7 and rapidgator is awful. I contacted them and they tried to say it was a firewall issue which it is not. I am able to sit behind a VPN and download at faster speeds but it will fail multiple times, maybe 20, while downloading. Without the VPN, it is literally dial-up speed. I believe it is Comcast throttling rapidgator. Love to hear if more people are having issues. I did use them alot so..there is that.

I am on TWC, not much difference I know, and for my part I haven't had any speed issues. I have premium at k2s, uploadable.ch and RG, RG is the fastest of the 3 and right now is the only one with this issue and it's only been acting up for me for like a week - which is about how long ago I started using Windows 10 so that's why I thought it might be related, but I guess not.

I have a few different premium accounts and for over a year, rapidgator was by far the best of the bunch. It wasn't even close. Now it is just pathetic. Unfortunately almost all the movies are uploaded there, atleast from where I get the links. I wish the jav community could come together and choose 2 or maybe 3 out of all of them. And as far as Uploadable, I was premium there until they stopped taking cc's. I'm not sure I'm comfortable with the 3rd party billers, can't figure out anywhere to get a paysafe card and don't have bitcoin so premium with them is a no go for me. So the only option is RG, behind a VPN, and constant restarts because it fails. This applies to all files and not just jav by the way.

I use Jdownloader 2 to manage my downloads, and this still happens when using it, but I've got a little workaround.

When a rapidgator download fails, it first says the link has 'connection problems'. The default behavior is to have the download wait a few minutes, then it tries again, but when it restarts all the progress is lost.

So I try to watch my downloads for when it first says 'connection problems'. As soon as that happens, I right click the file, and disable the download. I enable the download immediately after. The download will resume with a clean connection more often than not.

Of course, this requires you to watch your downloads, or at least check on them pretty frequently. And it doesn't work with every file. But it's been better than having to restart a dozen times.

Mine doesn't have to restart which is a good thing or I would lose my mind. When the download fails, I just resume it and it picks up where it left off. It's just that this happens literally 20 times a file. Takes about 45 minutes to get through downloading a 2GB file. Of course if I go direct through RG I get speeds of roughly 60k which means it would take almost a week to download. It seems like we are getting free user speeds, I think it's our ISP's doing it tho.

Thanks for the confirmation, I also was able to complete the download yesterday and forgot to update here. I wonder if sometimes new links get congested with a lot of downloads or else the content has to sync accross multiple servers before it becomes properly accessible, this is based on my observation that newer links seem to fail more often than links that have been up for a week or so.

I am not a premium member of...anyone....ever. If I can't download it for free, I don't want it. That doesn't mean I don't try to download from some filehosts though. Rapidgator is not only dog slow for non-premium members, you get a 1 file every two hours and 2 file a day download limit, that includes files in the 15mb or under range. I hate those fuckers.
