Just wondering why every fan is asking them about doing uncensored in the west (Which is a WASTE of TIME and MONEY) also plus the US porn stars get payed less, used and milked then gets replaced by the next lady EX.(Caroline pierce and Shyla Stylez pretty much never get called up for bookings anymore on Gonzo porn sites and productions.) Thay do make come backs (like Ryan Conner) but the pay will be less. )

The mosaics don’t bother me at all. I think it actually enhances the erotic effect, as long as the mosaic area is not too large. There’s no question that Japanese porn is superior to Western (especially American) porn: The production values are higher, the lighting and photography are better, the actresses are more attractive, and there’s at least an attempt at acting out the storyline (OK, the acting is still far from being Oscar quality, I know, but at least they’re trying).

About the money part:


Ai Uehara:
DMM lists around 300 vids credited to her (around 1000 if you add compilations). She's got top kikatan (non-exclusive) status and makes around 800000 (~$6500) a movie. That's a couple million $ for her videos only, and she's got lots of other sources of income (events both in shops throughout Japan and in Taiwan expos, gravure, merchandising...)
She won't have to work ever again if she doesn't want to.


Yui Hatano:She's got 50% more films than Uehara Ai, plus quite a few uncensored works, and her other activities throughout Asia (especially Taiwan), plus her being a member of Meme!. So she's likely twice as wealthy at least...
FWIW, in that xmas special I told you about, she was the surprise guest along with her best friend Ootsuki Hibiki. They're both from t-powers, and were accompanied by their manager. At one point, the announcer asked the question everybody's got in mind, how much they make. The manager of course refused to tell (the exact amounts are top-secret material as far as these agencies are concerned), but he did say the following: among t-powers' huge rooster (http://www.t-powers.co.jp/official/talent/), which includes the likes of Kamisaki Shiori, Sakurai Ayu, Satomi Yuria, Naruse Kokomi, Hatsune Minori, RION and Rio, Hatano Yui is the wealthiest one, and he gave all her work in Taiwan as one reason. So she might be making as much from non-AV stuff as from all her vids... and she's done 50% more than Uehara Ai (looking at dmm's stats, she's around 5th in total vids behind Kazama Yumi, Tsubomi, Kawakami Yuu and Sawamura Reiko - note that they're all older than her, and if you omit Tsubomi the Great, they're all mature actresses with very long careers).

Many AV stars are doing uncensored yes, but it's still kind of secret. Agencies don't write about it on their sites so it's one of those 'hush-hush but everybody knows already' secrets. Since the AV stars in Vegas were there with their agents, the questions would probably be ignored outside of playful replies. You also do see lots of AV star trade shows both in Japan and abroad, but I don't think I've ever seen one helmed by Dreamroom even though they're as large as any domestic maker at this point. Going on that the list you wrote above listing all the uncensored sites are all run by Dreamroom and none are located in Japan. Dreamroom itself is HQ'd in California and the servers are all over the place (except for Japan).


The AMA itself was what you'd expect from porn stars. It felt pretty much like any other adult film actress AMA and since most questions were from fans, the questions were what you'd expect. I didn't realize it was happening until it was already over because ever since chooter left, AMA's have been going downhill a bit.

And about the 5000 usd it is possible if your the top performer but this guy in the video said there making $500 a scene with agency cuts.

My post was about the Japanese AV stars. I wasn't referring to western ones (including actors) and have not seen the video. However, in both industries, the publicly reported earnings are rarely the truth.

Supmop: Marica Hase is doing that (though I doubt she has a proper visa). The only plus really is the thrill of doing something in a non-Japanese environment with an all foreign cast and staff. Women in western shoots aren't treated like demi-goddesses like they are here. The playing ground is a lot more fair and they're expected to get their elbows dirty along with the rest of the cast and crew when needed. The pay is also a lot less overall.

yes I know about Monica Hase, I would like to see more famous JAV actresses, like you've mentioned above its about the thrill to see those famous JAV goddesses doing something in a non-Japanese environment with an all foreign cast and staff

but I doubt they want to have work abroad, like you have mentioned too : money is a lot less, they will not treat as demi goddesses

the possibilities are very slim
