The only free site left that I have found usable is Uptobox that SamCook provides and I wish the others would too! I used it for the first time the other nite and the download speed was better than any of the premium sites I have used so far, a few minutes per 500Mb slice. K2S and the others are taking 3hrs or more per 500Mb to download making them unusable for anyone with a life.

Considering the amount of porn you can get from here by subscribing to filejoker it is sort of worth it, and there are a few other places that have file joker links on them; but I agree it's not as widely used as something like keep2share though

I don't know if they've tweaked it recently but it seems a hell of lot faster now than before.

Uptobox has no affiliate program so you can't earn anything from it meaning uploaders wanting to earn money have the exact same problem as uploadable.

1fichier is also incredibly good for downloading, but I don't know if it's restricted in some countries like uptobox is(my guess would be yes though, but it would be nice if someone in the US could find a link and confirm) and I haven't checked if they have an affiliate program yet.

The uploadable situation is temporary according to them so there's a good chance they'll start paying again in the future if they can recover from their current problems.


The big problem with filejoker is the low 40GB/3 days limit as a premium user meaning that if you download a good amount of stuff, it becomes annoying really fast having to manage when you can download stuff and you can't download as much as you want in a month.

With Uploadable (in the UK) it always took 42-45mins per 500Mb and a 1 hour wait between downloads. Then about 3 weeks ago it got faster 12 to 25 mins to download and 5 to 20mins between downloads depending on time of day. Last week it went to crap, repeated failures of the code, pop-ups appearing all over even when clicking in the box etc. Totally frustrating. Are you saying this will be fixed as well?

1fichier is incredibly good for (free) downloading here in the U.S. with speeds 2.5 - 2.9 Mb/sec (a 300Mb file in just over 2 minutes). Don't know if there's an affiliate program...

I spent some more time using 1fichier to gauge what it would mean for U.S.-based d'loaders. Speeds vary with time-of-day and/or traffic; 2.5 - 2.9Mb/sec as above and, on the (s)low-end, 750 - 900kb/sec. There's a 20-min. wait between d'loads. One download failed but hard to know if was something I did or not.
