Toolin' about a bit in other areas of Akiba-Online, in the "File hosts Complaints" thread I got wind of some member's touting what he thought of as the best filehosts (I presume with free downloaders in mind):
1) Vidpe.com
2) Farmuploads.com
Hmmm. I never even heard of them. Intriguing, if true.
I also ran into this, as two current pertinent rules of Akiba-Online:
1. all DDLs not posted at AO before must have a Ryushare download option (can be premium)
2. all DDLs must have a free download option that works for the majority.
Now the second one seemed relevent, because you know how sometimes you think a download appears to be especially nice JAV, and then you try the single download option made available, and it turns out to be only for premium account holders? (Leaving you out in the cold? Brrr!)
Realizing how some may wish to get around the second rule by offering a filehoster who is especially frustrating (thus forcing the user into premium territory) the moderator Vitreous added:
"...We don't allow free links that are excessively difficult to use (huge delays between downloads, not accepting captchas, blocking many territories etc.). ...We also look out for free links that go down very quickly."
Although it is understandable that the uploaders who do their thing regularly and put out much effort expect to get some compensation for their troubles, the foregoing serves as a reminder that the reason why we are into this hobby of ours is for the (ahem) noble reason of "sharing"... and not to get kickbacks.
