I'm not judging anyone's tastes or preferences or trying to troll, just legitimately curious and hoping for real answers.
So I'm not a frequent user, I just created an account to find some gravure idol vids I was looking for when I came across this whole Jr idol and Jr u15 idol section. It was pretty shocking, I only saw some of the covers but it was basically kids in poses that the gravure idols do in swimsuits and stuff. I didn't dl or watch any of these vids but from the covers it looked like it was obviously aimed at being sexual.
So my questions are basically:
  1. How is this not child porn? Obviously there's no nudity or sex but am I correct in assuming that they're made with the intention of being sold that way? From the covers, the content is obviously supposed to be sexual. I'm assuming people in the jr idol sections are downloading them for the same reason I dl gravure and JAV videos? If that's the purpose of these vids, isn't that basically achieving the same thing porn does?
  2. I'm not calling anyone here a paedophile, no judgment but ... are there users here who are actually? Some of the older Jr idols looked ok, they were obviously physically mature but the u15 stuff...? Can someone who downloaded the younger stuff and doesn't identify as a paedophile possibly explain the difference? Are there any? How many paedophiles, if any, frequent this section?
  3. Depending on the answers above, like reddit, am I just in a dark part of the website or am I just misunderstanding something. The section was advertised right on the front of the page so I'm guessing this isn't a secret.
  4. Is this similar to Loli in manga and hentai? . I never understood loli either as like in this case, the image is obviously a child, portrayed in a sexual manner. After years of reading manga and watching anime I kinda became numb to the loli stuff. Like "Oh that's just Japan, it's just drawings and stuff so it's ok, not like it's real life." However this is real life, real kids, how can you say you watch these u15 idols- presumably to get off and then say you aren't into the real thing? If someone can be bothered, plz feel free to explain loli as well.
Again, I'm not judging. Just a first time thing and really surprised plus curious. Some helpful answers and not just hate would be nice

I'm new here and came here specifically for Videos & Pictures of Rei Kuromiya a Jr idol who is ~15 years of age.

I recently summed why I like her in this short piece I wrote, all of it was from memory with no picture references.

My feelings toward an idol

She has the perfect teen body, her slight juvenile build looks comfortable to embrace. Her smooth skin that radiates youth betrays her innocent nature.
I love her shoulders that are broad, her waist and hips are narrow yet her torso is still hourglass. The gap between her thighs is eye-catching and highlights her slight build, leading you down her long slender legs to her perfect, small feet.

Her back is smooth and takes you on a journey towards her perfect bottom, which is small and tight yet comfortable looking, as if lying with her in your embrace would be heavenly.

Her hair is long and straight, with bangs that touch her eyebrows that lead you to her stunning brown small eyes. There you are led to her nose which is perfectly proportioned and petite. From her nose you find yourself at her mouth, those full, young lips that would be bliss to kiss that delicately hide her smile. That smile with the slightly tooth that perfectly bites over her lower lip when she smiles just completes her adorable facial features.

Her personality in the videos is perfectly kawaii, she laughs, giggles and speaks with that smooth adorable voice of hers. Her attitude is playful, jumping around yet making sure you are the focus of her attention at all time. You can almost imagine running around playing with her or messing around in the pool, she would be the perfect daughter.

Even when she is posing her form is stellar a true professional that knows exactly when to crack that smile, when she does you are sure to melt in her hands.

She is to me the most perfect anybody could ever be, I dote upon her absolutely.

She makes me feel happy when I am down.

She reminds me there is much more to beauty to life than I realise and to appreciate it when I see it.

She excites me, makes my heart flutter, makes me feel mushy inside.

She is my idol.

And in answer to your questions

1. I would read this: ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Child_pornography_laws_in_Japan#Junior_idols ) Pictures of girls and women in catalogues are not produced as porn yet this was my main source of relief during my teenage years.

2. I am into girls that are in their teenage years, whilst still not legal it is not peadophilia. My tastes while quite low in the age bracket do not go below 11. I would more classify myself as an Ephebophile ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ephebophilia )

I personally have no issues with what I feel, but also worth saying I have no urges to pursue a girl of that age or have any kind of sexual relationship with one.
Just because somebody likes women doesn't make them a r**ist who wants to have sex with women all the time, does it?

Feel free to ask more :D

Thanks for your reply, didn't even know about Ephebophile. Good to know the distinction.

Yes there is a distinction, but socially and in the media we are all tarred with the same brush. The distinction is important though, I have never and would never have any sexual urges against anybody that is under 11, and even then I would not pursue a relationship with anybody below 18.

Are you content with my explanations?

Yes for the most part. Would you say people like yourself are the majority here?

Nope.

The U15 section doesn't get a quarter of the traffic that the JAV or Gravure sections do.

Also worthy of note: many Jr Idols and former Jr Idols are actresses and singers that appear regularly in movies, tv shows and concerts.

Japan has a very unique and wonderful culture, get to know it more before you judge it because it works for them. This is a Neo-Otaku board and if it is from Japan, it is likely allowed here. So don't make such a fuss over it. If you find something you don't like, then ignore it and find something you do. Don't hate on it, that is just rude.

That depends entirely on the legislation in you country/jurisdiction. I know it would most likely be considered child porn over here in Sweden since most of the content is obviously intended to be sexualized and it involves minors.
The borderline case would probably be U-15 Idols with more developed bodies as the law here focuses a lot on the fact that the person appears to be a child, more so than whether the actor actually is in some cases.
But in Japan it's quite legal although they've beefed up their legislation fairly recently and some producers got arrested I think.

2.Depending on the answers above, like reddit, am I just in a dark part of the website or am I just misunderstanding something. The section was advertised right on the front of the page so I'm guessing this isn't a secret.
It's only visible to logged in users, or at least it used to be that way before they switched to xenforo, not entirely sure about the current state.
But no it's not a secret, or it's a very badly kept one :p

3.Is this similar to Loli in manga and hentai? I have friends that are into Loli but obviously aren't paedophiles in real life. I never understood loli either as like in this case, the image is obviously a child, portrayed in a sexual manner. Hard to say as it's not really my cup of tea but others have already given you an answer to that one I see.

However it is important to note that U-15 videos are an actual industry in Japan and something that is done openly with voluntary cooperation of the child and with the parents consent. So to the best of my knowledge there is no abuse going on, which might be important from a moral standpoint if not a legal one in other jurisdictions.

I would have said many things similar to those that have been said perviously. It's ok that you were unclear on some of the definitions. Many people are until they find out. Mainstream media is mostly responsible for this and culture does play a large role as well. This comes up time and time again however we pride ourselves in proper education and open attitudes.

just to chime in (because it seems that you are genuinely interested) i would say:

as much as any photo or media that features the human body, u15 is sold for the same purpose; it is aimed at people who want to derive pleasure from looking at the content of that media. whether it is 'porn' or not is a whole other issue but it is difficult to defend the position that these companies aren't shooting these girls for the (not exclusive) purpose of titillation.

pedophilia is a preference, and opposed to sexual assault/molestation of a minor, also not a crime. in our societies the word pedophile is 99.999% conflated with sex criminal.

u15 is officially legal in japan, but treads on (and sometimes oversteps) a fairly wide and multi-toned grey line.

i find it somewhat difficult to accept that a person could be 'into loli' and not have pedophilic tendencies.
again, this is probably a misuse of the term pedophile, used to mean criminal.

personally i find this content pleasurable and utilise it in at least one of its intended purposes, but i have never molested a child, and do not want to. if a person is unable to give consent, or is not old enough/mature enough to make his or her own decision and understand it then that is r***, and something i have never and will never do.

uh...youre welcome?

i forgot to reply to the survey. i would choose either maybe or yes. i think you are mostly right in your perception that it is pornographic in nature (as opposed to 'porn') and we are taking advantage of that, ergo taking advantage of the models.
CP is bad. i dont think there is anyone here who would object to that statement. but there is also a big difference between say a homemade video of a father molesting his child and videos like these where there is at least consent.

I'll try to answer in a seesaw between the perspective of the law and my personal opinion.

In Japan, the definition of pornography is either engaging in a sexual act or interaction with their genitals. Certain producers tend to skirt around that rule, it might be suggestive, but if it still complies with the definition, then it's not child pornography. However Japan is slowly clamping up on really blatant stuff. Also the age of consent in Japan is 13, which a lot lower in comparison to other countries. This causes certain stuff like the U15 videos.

My personal opinion, there are a lot of U15 videos that I find quite uncomfortable per se, trying to ban them by virtue of "it makes me uneasy" is almost as bad as arguing that violent video games be banned because "it makes me uneasy" as well IMO. It can even be argued that GTA is pandering to homicidal maniacs as U15 is pandering to pedophiles, banning one makes for a slippery slope for banning the other as well.

This is quite a very lousy explanation but I hope you get my drift. :)
