I love this site, just wanted to say that first.
Now my suggestion, a way of cleaning up the request forum
1. is it possible to make it so that only members who have posted a certain amount of posts can post new threads in that forum? (for example 5 posts or something) That would help clean up all the random people coming from google just wanting to find this and that.
2. Maybe a sticky with useful links that is good to check before asking? Like www.google.com http://rapidsearch.yi.org/ http://www.datorrents.com/ http://www.deadfrog.us/ http://www.fansub.tv/browse.php/http://www.anime-kraze.org/?page=releases and more if anyone has any suggestions
3. I'm just wondering, is there a request forum moderator? Having someone that are good with google-fu would really speed things up there.

A good suggestion I feel. definitely about the post limit before posting there. I was going to do some serious moderating to it earlier this week but have since been busy with other projects. I'll return to it later this week. I noticed a lot of old (before the recent crash) posts with dead or deleted links. Also threads that have been correctly completed I feel should be closed. But chompy has the final word.

I don't think that's a good idea, because sometimes an old request is met a long time later. When that happens for the member requesting, it brings a lot of joy! hee hee

I'm not too keen on the idea of deleting threads just because they're old. Members can self-censor old threads if they like, through their own settings in the control panel.

As for limits on thread creation, that's not really a problem much, since the posting rate is really quite low compared to the traffic. If there were more posts it would be considered.

Moderators are generally most likely to be considered from long-time regularly contributing members.

As for cleaning up, the forum needs a ton of it. Hopefully everything will be squeaky clean sometime in january.

Oh, and if a thread is posted that is deemed worthy of a sticky, then yea.

As handyman said, there's no particular moderator for the request forum. But if you have any request on the idol/JAV stuff (mostly torrents), I may can help you, depends on my available time.
