Turning Japanese... You Really Think So?
Sorry about the title, I don't understand Japanese characters :attention: . .
Antideus and any others -- I've found the following two links to be of some use in figuring out what a JAV or other bit of Japanese is about
First is
BabelFish
Copy and paste the text you want "translated" into the box (or the URL into the other box, if you're attempting a whole webpage -- I've found this far less successful, FWIW). Select the drop-down box and pick "Japanese to English" (you can just open, then hit "J" and "enter", is the quick way to do this). Babelfish supports other languages, too, including, of some possible interest here, Korean and Chinese.
The translation will, of course, be fairly laughably incorrect, but you can usually glean
the gist of the meaning, enough, for example, to figure out a suitable name.
芸能人 黄金咲ちひろ 触手アクメ
translates to
Show biz celebrity golden 咲 [chi] wide tentacle acme
Since I've been using the term "Tentacle Targets" for the previous tentacle vids from SOD (that's just what seemed to fit at the time), I'd translate it to "Tentacle Target - Celebrity". Good enough for government work, anyway.
I often use it with the descriptive para that many Japanese websites have with their vids, and usually you can get a rough idea what it's about. I'm not big on scat, pissing, and enemas, so it's useful for realizing when that's a strong part of a JAV, for example. Sometimes the box cover and any supporting photos aren't clear on what is up.

The primary use of
this is for figuring out what a girl's name is, when you just have the Kanji.
黄金咲ちひろ
translates to
ougon saki chihiro
Which is fairly close to the actual name which we
happen to have in this case:
Chihiro Koganezaki
(but sometimes may not).
You might translate that "sort of improperly" to
Ougonizaki Chihiro, but you'll probably be able to suspect it as the same if you bump into the correct one elsewhere. Other names often translate better. That's one of the poorer translations I've seen out of it, actually.

None of the above is perfect, but it's better than zero, and considerably faster than
learning Japanese, which isn't as tough as you'd think, it's a fairly logical language (I've started a couple times but never went that far for various reasons).
