If it's an srt file, try opening it with Aegisub. If Chinese characters are then displayed by Aegisub, you can export the file and you now have a new srt file with Chinese characters.
thanks..will try..but ..too many button,,haha,,

Oh man, it's been so long. You notice I have not been following up since the 2020-f pack. I hope you all are getting by without me :p

The current method (in case it's not already known to everyone) is to search for RUNBKK on Sukebei, he puts out 2-3 updates every week. If a pack is 20-30 vids, it's a studio-specific pack. And every forth pack is a 70-80 vids big pack with is the sum of the previous 3 studio-specific packs. Most of the packs contains a number of Chinese soft subs with quite good translation quality.

But I have a request myself, RUNBKK seems to have missed a "run" of S1 release in the range SSNI-973 to SSNI-999, the last in SSNI was SSNI-972 included in pack 210421 (and repeated in 210426), the next S1 pack I could found was SSIS-001 in 210614. Can anyone help with these? Thanks!

@ding73ding Thank you for sharing your method!
In order to help a little, I found some missing subtitles on subtitlecat, mostly Korean. I don't know if it's interesting for you. Here is the list and the zip file:

SSNI-973__Korean.srt
SSNI-977__Korean.srt
SSNI-980__Korean.srt
SSNI-987__Korean.srt
SSNI-989__Korean.srt
SSNI-991__Korean.srt
SSNI-992__English.srt
SSNI-992__Japanese.srt
SSNI-998__Japanese.srt

@ding73ding You're welcome. You do a lot for this forum, so it's normal to help you.
I saw sometimes some Japanese soft subs, but they were generated by speech recognition softwares, so the dialogs looked like:

- Yellow cab in main street
- I bought apples and potatoes
- Abraham Lincoln

... :/
However, these ones seem to be made by human, but I don't have the movies to check.

So i signed up for the free trial on deepl and using ironfever's script im slowly translating unatttended everything to english from the 28,000 pack + 500 that were released. Pro of the paid version is you don't have to split files to only 5000 lines -- it's unlimited. The con is that the script doesn't know when the website finished the translation. So that I can leave it running unattended I have modifed the script to assume it takes 60 seconds for each file. This means that it will take something like 20 days to translate everything LOL . But if i get it all translated i will definitely post it up here

Something I have been doing (almost finished now) is do the huge clean up for the so-called 28,000 pack, plus the CN Sub (5,075) pack and the RUNBKK packs. I've deleted over 10000 duplicate and effectively duplicate files (e.g. same text, different formats), and renamed ALL of them to have the video code as the starting string of the filename. Also moved all the Korean files to a different folder. (KR subs are really really the last resort for me, machines translation work poorly on them, I think). I also converted many GBK and UTF-16 files to UTF-8. But not all... I should write a script and scan for all non-UTF-8 files automatically.

The most useful thing is rename the files to XYZ-123.BLAHBLAH.srt naming convention. Now when I get a new vid, I just do a simple search in the srt root folder using Explorer for the video code.

I've just now started checking out the latest "500" which complements the 28,000 pack, but mostly I found they are dups of RUNBKK.

So i wanted to share this powershell code I wrote for autosub. There's probably a better way to do this and I can't remember what file extensions autosub supports so I filtered it to .mp4

So open up your powershell shell and change directory to where all your JAV files are.

Code:
Get-ChildItem -File -Name -Recurse -Include *.mp4 -Force > files.txt
Now you will have a text file with relative paths to your files. Next we want to load those into the $files variable
Code:
$files= (Get-Content .\files.txt)
Now that we have our list of files in the $files we can run them all in batch with a foreach statement
Code:
foreach ($file in $files) { autosub $file -S ja -D ja }
If the lord wills it you will start to get this output.
View attachment 2539389

Then of course now you will have lovely .srt files in Japanese and can run them through Sir IronFever's deeplsrt program. Maybe someone who is a much bigger jav baller than me can combine this into one program some day.
So this is for converting Chinese subs to Japanese?

No. The 3 powershell lines launch autosub on your JAV collection. Autosub is a software which tries to make subtitles from the audio channel of a video.
Then, IronFever's deeplsrt takes the Japanese SRT generated by autosub and translate it in english through Deepl.

How interesting, few days ago, @RUNBKK released a S1 pack which filled in that "run" exactly, SSNI-973 to -999 (well actually only 21 out of 27 of that run).
