I don't have any experience on Paradise soapland. Word is as they're very new (opened last month), the girls are not that experienced or skilled in mat play. Navigating Yoshiwara can be tricky. Many shops are outright off-limits to foreigners. A handful of shops are OK with foreigners but you need to at least be able to communicate in basic Japanese because they might not have English speaking staff on hand. Also, your choice of girls will be limited and you are likely going to be charged a gaijin tax of some sort. Some will even take advantage by offering you girls who are either chubby, older, or unpopular.
So how fluent in Japanese are you? The more you can speak, the better you will be treated there. I don't mean simply saying "Ohaiyo gozaimasu" and "Sayonara". At the very least, you need basic conversational skills. The girls who can't speak English will also feel more comfortable if you can communicate with them and that actually helps a lot in clicking with them, else you might just get mechanical service.
Oh, and do avoid the African touts in the streets of Kabukicho. Just ignore them and shake them off. Heck, you should just ignore most touts who approach you on the street - even if Japanese. As a foreigner, you will most definitely be taken advantage of. Go directly to the shops yourself.
