The girl in the pictures really looks like Tomoe, but she isn't. Her name is Maika Yamamoto(山本舞香). Even some of Tomoe's friends mistook the girl for Tomoe.

Tomoe misses being crowned as the Next Gravure Queen

She was voted the first runner-up to the Next Gravure Queen, Minami Sengoku(仙石みなみ). The result was very narrow: 59,024(34.1%) to 58,678(33.9%). Thank you to all who voted for Tomoe. Her gravure will be on the next issue (out Feb 14) of Young Animal.

Thanks for the detailed info, 3nuts! That's a bit sad news having seen how much effort Tomoe put into winning this. She tweeted about this every day and asked for help - even in different languages! I don't know how much work Minami invested to get #1, but Tomoe surely would deserve to be #1.
At least she gets a little spot on the cover and I hope there will be a lot of pages with her in the mag.
Does anyone know what she exactly gets for being number two?

Sorry for the show. I didn't know the details. Anyway, Tomoe was not the main performer. In these DVDs/blu-rays, however, she is the only queen and wears various swimsuits.
