I'm well aware of the feeling you get with idol interaction, I was just in Japan and when you talk to an idol and they remember your name you kinda feel special for a moment.

And you hit the nail on the head. You watch these women, sometimes for quite a while; after that time you feel a false sense of relation with them. I only ever tweeted Tomoe and never got a reply. To actually get one does make you feel special. As meaningless as it is to them it means a lot to us. Like a celebrity saying hi to you and you're like: hey, you acknowledged my existence!

You can buy them at amazon.co.jp, as long as it's not porn there shouldn't be a problem ordering there, the worst thing is that there only is a relatively expensive shipping method available.
