Surprisingly it isn't already illegal there.

Here's the article: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2007/04/03/nporn03.xml

The Telegraph said:
Drawings, images and sculptures depicting child sexual abuse are to be made illegal, the Government said yesterday.
People caught in possession of "non-photographic" child pornography, which is currently legal to own, will face a three-year jail term.
Ministers said "genuine works of art" were not the target for the new law - though there will be concern that heavy-handed policing could see galleries raided.

In 2001, Charles Saatchi's gallery in north London was visited by officers from Scotland Yard's obscene publications unit over a photographic exhibit showing nude children.
It showed the photographer's three young children playing while naked. The case was dropped when the gallery defended the images as harmless photos of children on holiday that were neither lewd nor sexually provocative.
The following year police decided not to prosecute a London gallery over displaying a photograph of a naked girl in a bath that had been taken by the child's mother.
The proposed new law would cover depictions of child sex abuse that have either been created on a computer or are cartoons, drawings or other "artwork".
John Reid, the Home Secretary, said: "The ease with which images can be circulated or altered brings fresh challenges in combating the availability of child sex abuse images.
"It is critical that the law stays one step ahead and nowhere is this more important than protecting children."
Keep in mind this is proposed

Also, by banning the work of someones imagination they'd be opening the floodgates to banning books and fiction.

So... Does that mean we're banning loli on the forum?

If so, do you want us to go and clean it out or something?

lol. god no.

1. this server is hosted in the US
2. loli isn't b& in the UK yet anyway. This is a proposal (just like the one that fell through in the US last year and the many that fall through in Japan)

Uh-oh, I guess that means they'll have to close the museum in Florence. Turn left from Michaelangelo and there is a whole room with a hundred lovely statues of naked people from 6 to 18 years old.

By then the server will most likely be moved somewhere else.
Most likely to here and hosted by me, if I still live here.
But that's an if scenario and far off in the future in any case.

I can't live without LOLI!
Thank God, I'm not UK resident. But that's still a proposal. Hope they reject it. =)

Isn't loli banned in the US under the PROTECT act or whatever it's called? Not that I've ever really payed that much attention to the gov't though :p

I hope the US doesn't toughen it's laws! I'm not a big loli fan, but I have plenty of doujins that contain some loli images.

OH NOEZ!

srsly though. It would sucked to be raided and slapped with child porn charges. My family would never understand.

Let me make it abundantly clear: proposed UK laws will not and cannot affect this site.

IF loli was criminalised in the USA, I doubt I'd be in a rush to remove it anyway.

I don't understand why they would illegalize it. No real-life minor is exploited in the creation of it, it doesn't make any sense whatsoever. It's like criminalizing showing murder in movies and comics because someone in real life might copy it.

Yes, I'm aware that, eventually, computer-generated 3D hentai will be so detailed that it will be visually impossible to tell if the actors are real and that this is why the law was proposed. But it still makes no sense because of a certain bill:

A 2257 bill was adopted by the USA for porn, which enforces massive bookkeeping and near constant authenticity checks to make sure the actors are adults. It would be very easy to enforce a law for loli hentai, since all the creators would have to do is e-mail all the creation files (the actual 3D model files, scenes, programs, etc) to the justice department.

This was purely a political move when politicians tried to make Loli hentai illegal in the USA, and it sounds like the same rubbish in the UK as well. Never happen, and if it does, it's a sad day for Justice and overall humanity.

Furthermore, I'm shocked some folk here are afraid of this and are planning to get rid of their loli, should it become illegal. Take a stand, for pete's sake! You know the law would be wrong!

I doubt that the US will toughen it's laws. They are pretty though as they are now. It's a shame that the UK would go so far as to ban artwork though and targeting galleries with artistic photos is strange… Let's hope that they can see the futility in this decision.

Hey guys, I'm new here and this thread kinda pertains to my question so I decided to bump it to ask a question. I live in the US and I'm thinking about buying and importing a few manga from Japan with 2 being the BBW variety and 1 being loli. My question (more towards anyone from the US) is does anyone import stuff like this from Japan freely and would customs nail me for buying this 1 manga? I'm just so worried as I've imported from Japan before (never noticed my packages opening so I don't think customs went through them) , but never including a loli manga so I would just like some input if it's done by anyone here and if it's safe? I want to support the author by buying the manga as I already have scans but I worry for my own neck if you know what I mean. :( Thanks in advance for any answers to my question! ;)
