Video Capture Software

Just works without parameters and plays right away

I can suggest that some browser extension with japanese ip is used to access dmm but the download goes directly

This is barely even related to the name of the thread anymore, but I felt that making a new thread for this seemed somewhat wastefull since I asked the same thing in this thread over half a year ago and gave up at some point.
Does anyone know/ is willing to explain of a way to download and convert videos from dmm?
The previous post states that it works without any problem, which is, as far as I can tell, not the case.
Porni, could you maybe, if you can find the time, tell me step by step what you do to get a url from dmm to play in a video-player, which I assume also means you could convert it to a mp4 etc.
I'd really appreaciate it.

Don't expect others to elaborate unless you do too. Give porni a detailed step by step example of what you're doing, which link you're using and what doesn't work and make sure you have the latest version of both software.

Sounds like it works like any other streaming site so there shouldn't be anything hard about it so there's likely a detail you're doing wrong if it doesn't work.

Hi, I've done up to the step where you just paste the url of the generated link from the extension into cmd along with yt-dlp.exe and it downloaded, but in a weird file.

For more context, this is from xcream.net, so not sure if that matters. But I can also download the video directly via the xcream player and web extension, but I just end up with a messy looking video file that looks like a broken crt monitor screen.

For now, I'm just using OBS to screen record and so far looks good as an alternative?

Might help to put the link between quotes or else characters considered special will break the link and yt-dlp might not get all the info it needs.

Did you try to rename it to something.mp4 to see if it works? Not sure the container is set right or not from your screenshot

Edit: Downloaded a sample and looks like the videos are encrypted on that site so nothing I said above will change anything.

Yea, I just ended up settling with OBS to record it and pretty satisfied with the quality aside from a second or two to start/stop recording along with splitting the video to cut out those sections.

I read some discussions at some closed Russian-speaking forums but I can not post direct links at public forum
