What are your go-to resources for aquiring JAV titles?

I am kind of figuring things out as I go, it's a little tough for me since I don't speak Japanese and the Kanji's and other characters are pretty much useless for me.

Right now my strategy is to use the premium file locker services I have, (rapidgator and upload.ch) I use those cause they seem to be the most widely used. I know this forum likes filejoker but I still don't see the widespread adoption I would like to.

Rapidgator seems a lot faster than upload.ch but also can be quicker to nuke files, I suspect they get regularly DMCA'd by the studios.

When neither of those has a valid link I use the following torrent sites, here they are in order of usefulness:

Pornolab,net - Russian site, use Chrome to translate the page, titles and descriptions are in English, hard to get an account going there since you need a good ratio to continue after a fairly small starting ratio, but I rented a seedbox for a month that got me in good and now I can use it with almost no restrictions (100 torrents a day limit - never really a issue) They carry a ton of Jav titles, not so much the new releases, though they all wind up there eventually, but what they have is usually well seeded.

Empornium.me: - not very complete with JAV titles but the community there is excellent about seeding.

kickass.to - open tracker, not great with seeding but when there's nowhere else, it beats giving up.

torrents.yourexotic.com - kind of a second to last resort, they specialize in uncensored, or so they say, I have found a few titles there and they downloaded fine, however the community is really anal about seeding, -which I understand the problem is that no one seems to be leeching off of me so I ended up having to donate to keep my account in good standing, this is after seeding for months with pretty much no activity on uploads and a lot of nasty reminder messages.

http://sukebei.nyaa.se/ - definite last resort. I have found many titles "available" that are literally nowhere else to be found, however they can take months to acquire if indeed they can be acquired at all. There are quite a few dead torrents listed, but some of them have surprisingly completed in a day after sitting for a month or more in queue. Like I said, last resort.

What are your go-to resources?

I'm also having difficult trying to find titles, especially those older ones, like those produced in the 90s and 2000s.

Even those titles produced in 2010 and 2011 are difficult to find, considering mostly are either torrents or download links, which become obsolete very fast...

Can anyone also help us with this issue? Any suggestions where else to get older javs?

of course i always check akiba-online first. but much of its former glory is buried either in its own graveyard or in some foreign cyberfield. and while i encourage all the former contributors to re-up their thousands of videos that are now just memories, i'm not holding my breath. meanwhile, the comments at javlibrary.com are a good resource. i avoid the chinese torrent offerings, but maybe others know the secret password or whatever you need to make them work.

Layout is very important to me, hence javbus for me. It is exactly like javlibrary except with torrent links instead of file sharing sites. I hate having to click into threads then onto a thumbnail then go into a different tab just to see the cover...javbus allows you to see them all at once, and the seeds rarely let me down even the old ones.

JAV today is so boring compared to back in the 2010s. I just can't feel the creativity or new starlets with the X factor. I'm hoarding quite a bit with probably no intention of watching them, but they're like water in a desert y'knaw.

I would love to, the only reason I do the dl'ing is I am not aware of a better way to get the titles. I would need an english language (or at least useable for a gaijin) source that accepts my credit card and allows me to DL. I don't mind spending money on things that I love. But I hate streaming, don't speak or read japanese and I can't have physical media around my home office as I can't risk my wife and kids stumbling onto my filthy JAV collection.

If you have a solution that would work for me, please offer it.

But, I was wondering if there was some sort of guide for torrenting or direct downloads for JAV? I remember I used to watch/download some movies when I was younger, but didn't have the means to store them. Now, I am looking for similar/same movies from around 2010~2013, but it seems alot of torrents cannot complete. As I said, if this is not an appropriate question I apologize, but I was just wondering what I can do know that I am searching for specific titles instead of just any title that looked interesting like I used to do in the past.

I don't necessarily need it to be posted publicly, but I was just wondering on some tips of how to search or whether direct download vs. torrent is better for stuff that is 3+ years old. Stuff like this. Obviously if you do not want to share that is fine as well, but any tips would be appreciated. I only know a small amount about torrenting, but any info on private trackers and other things like this would help.

You just have to make a list of the stuff you really want and check around every few days to see if any of it has surfaced, also with torrents, leave them running at a snail's pace for a few months, many will complete when you least expect it.

The fresher stuff is easiest if you get it fast, once the studios find the links they request the file hosts to remove them and they do, but then someone puts them back up. That's why titles that are 2 or 3 years old are harder to get than titles that are 7 or 8 years old, the studios don't care as much about those as their more recent releases, and the 2-3 yr old stuff doesn't have as many posters providing fresh links, so for me those are the hardest.

eMule is much better than torrents for the older stuff. Because in eMule it doesn't matter if you change the file name or location, eMule will still recognize it as the same file. So people using eMule share the files for much longer.

You misunderstand, that comment was not directed towards you.

However this one is:
You are looking for old JAVs so it's not surprising that many of the torrents you are downloading are not able to be completed. The reason being that there are no seeders left. JAVhoarding is right, just leave it downloading for months and eventually you might get it.
You can also try asking in the JAV request section, I've uploaded stuff there and also had some of my requests fulfilled as well.
