Categories and Studio filters also added to My library.
Now you can filter your content in My library by Actress, Studio or Category.

More improvements to My library coming soon :)

Great improvements so far.

One thing that goes beyond library (but includes it) that would be a nice add is search options built into the sort functions. If you get a large library or if you're just looking to bookmark a favorite actress for updates... it can be a bit of a pain of sorting through 40+ pages on more popular letters:

You can sort of bypass this on My Library with a search function but it would be nice to not hit CTRL+F and instead just have a box there to search in. If I'm missing that there's already an ability to search, let me know.

Agree with you. We do have on the pipe some improvements to make it easier to Follow actresses.

We have released one more improvement to My library.
Many people requested to delete items from My library so we released the HIDE button were user can choose to hide items.

We have also added some controls to make it easier to navigate inside My Library using Smart TVs.

I think that main problem is R18.com is changing the mother, father, sister category to stepmother, stepfather, stepsister. Before you had great splitation. Why that became like this I don't know. Please do real one what is same with the film plot.

This are Visa and Mastercard regulation. They do not allow certain words.
Most of the adult sites use the same wording for this as it is problematic with Visa/Mastercard.

I see a 4K tag now with videos attached to it, any hint on when it will arrive and what the bitrate will be to support a consistent and high quality video?
4K.PNG

I see 4K videos are available for purchase at DMM so there's 3 tiers - SD, HD and 4K.

Two covers on R18 right now with the 4K tag:

The titles with proper lighting technique and/or vibrant colors are the best. Anything with dark scenes or otherwise dimmed or with poor lighting are not worth it in my opinion. Maybe if they were 60fps in addition but they are not, they are only 4K in frame size/bitrate.

WARNING large files <=7MB each

As a subscriber with a sizable library, one thing that I would like to see is more old titles from SOD Create, KUKI, Calen, etc. From 90s and 2000s. I've tried the request feature but no result, however almost all of these titles are on DVD/VCD, some for sale at DMM and others even available on other platforms.

I'm less worried about the individual picture quality and more worried about the bitrate being too low and that causing those almost VCR like 'lines' on parts of the video as it plays on higher resolution screens. I can't think of a way to show off the effect but essentially think about point of view videos where the action is close up. When the girl is riding cowgirl or reverse cowgirl and bouncing up and down going full steam, on a 4K monitor you can sort of see these lines forming on the girls boobs or butt (whichever way she is facing) as she bounces up and down. I also want to stress this is not screen tearing. These are localized lines just on the boobs or butt as they bounce up and down rapidly.

It's not end of the world stuff but I do notice it. I wouldn't notice this in a bluray for example. If I grab a Minori Hatsune bluray I have, her boobs bounce fine and the skin doesn't have lines on it as they bounce up and down rapidly. A bluray has an excessive bitrate of anywhere from 15,000 to 30,000 on a typical 1080p release.

I understand it's not practical to offer bluray like bitrates online... the file sizes would be massive. But I would imagine there is some sweet-spot slightly higher than 6,000 that would fix the minor VCR-like lines issue I see on my 4K monitor for 1080p videos. Say 8,000 or 9,000 bitrate.

Which brings me back around to my original question/issue of wondering what the 4K bitrate will be. 4 times the pixels is a significant jump and when you go from the raw 4K file and re-encode to reduce file size (and bitrate), will the video quality be good? Will I see the same lines if the movement gets too fast and the bitrate can't really keep up? Will it be better, worse or the same?

Only blurred shit with artifacts.
And bitrate is not quality.

Search inside your library by actress, video code, etc. Watch actresses like you can watch series, for new films released, etc.

As you have mentioned this is only available on FANZA at this moment and the price for 4K is different than the price for HD.
At this moment R18.com has not implement the new 4K either the new price tag for this movies.

We will implement is in a few months if this is a very requested feature.

We have implemented filters inside My library a few weeks ago so you can not filter by actress inside my library.

Request a video? There are a lot of videos absent on the site that should be available, at least IMO. I want to give you my money for these titles, many in FHD.

As it was mentioned in this thread many times I would love for R18.com to add a DRM free option... it is clearly possible on some titles....
Example with VRXS-132:
https://www.r18.com/videos/vod/movies/detail/-/id=h_898vrxs00132 <- DRM protected
https://duga.jp/ppv/vr-0351/ <- DRM free

Why is that?
I refuse to give my money to R18.com with DRM. I would give it to duga.jp but they don't accept my credit card...
Sometimes I think you guys want us to pirate those videos...

I don't understand why the DRM exists. You can find the pirated versions the same day. With VR is even worse, because the PC VR Player of R18 is very bad and basic. It runs on a browser!!!

I buy a lot of JAV VR tiles at A Festa VR because they don't have DRM and I can download and play the movies with a good player on my PC, like Whirligig. And I am talking about more than 500 euros in the last months. I can't understand why R18 don' want to win that money because they use DRM and the titles are pirated in hours.

If R18 releases JAV VR titles without DRM and to download to a PC I would buy several titles every month. I don't pay for streaming (it is smoke) and I need to download the titles to play them on a good player with options to adjust to my eyes, like Whirligig.

It would be really awesome if there was a possibility to watch your purchased movies on TV, in my case I got an OLED TV.
Yet i could not find out how to watch my movies purchased from r18 on my OLED TV.

This feature would be absolutely lovely. It maybe could be enough to implement that feature on the R18 Player App, as an option to stream from it to the TV.

Use of DRM is common used in some of the biggest movie sites in the world like NETFLIX, AMAZON VIDEO , HULU etc.
Most of the biggest studios want to keep their movies with DRM so to have the same user experience for all the movies and users all the movies play the same way.

As mentioned before and the biggest movie sites (NETFLIX, AMAZON VIDEO , HULU etc.) use DRM we think that movies with DRM is not an issue. The issue becomes when the user cannot watch the movie in his device.
- Do you want to watch the movie in any device that we do not support?
- What is the reason DRM bothers you?
- Will you drop from NETFLIX, AMAZON VIDEO , HULU etc because they use DRM?
