What happen to the polls on the homepage

i have a quick question, how come you can't vote on polls on the side of the home page like you you where able to before.

I removed that panel from the homepage for performance reasons.

do you know any way to get more people to vote on any polls i set up? i ask because i set up some polls but its been hard getting votes because theirs no way to advertised the whole community
