JAVBUS is my #1 go-to for searching/researching titles, series, studios and idols. I don't understand what need instructing. Have a title (text or DVD code) or idol (in Japanese if available) you like, paste into the search field and you will get a lot of hits. Click an idol and you will get her filmography in a wall of covers (no matter if you know Japanese or not, covers-wall is better for browsing and discovery). Click a title you get that title's basic info, most useful of which are performer(s), genre, series and studio. All of these are clickable and presents you will another covers-wall.
Use the language menu at the top right corner to switch language between Japanese and English, ON ANY PAGE. It's super fast to switch language which is very useful. English is not an official language for AV so it's highly unreliable to conduct your research in English. Use English to help you figure out the Japan, but try to interact with the site using Japanese.
The master database (I believe most online sources all rip the data from DMM) is very imperfect with series and genres. So if you click on the series "
即ズボ!" you get 7 titles, but if you search the (title) text "
即ズボ" you get 80 titles, perhaps more than you bargain for, but that way you discover many other series and titles that uses the same phrase.
The case of FSET-270 is an exception, a very common exception. That both series and genre would fail. It fails to help you find FSET-270, and having found FSET-270 it fails to help you find other titles. The only way out of it is... say feed the Japanese title to Google translate, and try to work out some substring that is crucial to the theme. In this case, yes it's actually not hard "出会って5秒" it helps if you had recognized that Alice Japan's corresponding series name is "出会って○秒で合体" with the "○" being the Japanese wildcard character.
As usual, it's always worth trying shorten your search string (catching wild discovery but at risk of getting too many irrelevant results). So (I'm cheating a bit since I know kanji, but you only need to use Google translate for extra help) search the string "出会" you would hit the jackpot. E.g. you would find the series "出会って速攻、女優の方から襲いかかる生中出しSEX" which I translate as "Rapid date attack, actress attack guy for creampie sex" I made a post or three about PLA-058, in particular.
In the somewhat rare case JAVBUS' database isn't complete enough for my research, I use Google, Javlibrary, and Sougouwiki as backup.
EDIT: the absolute fastest way to find a title, faster than Google, DMM, Amazon, Akiba Online, anything you can name is this: go to your browser URL and enters "
https://www.javbus.com/en/ABP-369" obviously replace "ABP-369" with your DVD code. Personally I default to "
https://www.javbus.com/ja/ABP-369", but most of you would prefer
en.
