That's not really fair. Japanese is relatively well tolerated, especially compared with Muslims, Mexican and blacks. Anyway only a minority would bother to "looked down upon" other's preference (yes we know who they are, and yes they are so loud and annoying they might seem like a majority).

And double-ANYWAY, when it comes to porn and sex, I think everyone should have his/her personal preference, including racial preference. Like if a girl only wants to watch yaoi boys sucking dicks, that's fine. If a white dude only wants to watch black studs triple-penetration gangbang Asian loli, that's his thing. So Americans as a whole don't have a lot of appetite for Japanese porn, that's just a objective fact, it doesn't have to involve "pride". Gays may have a pride parade, but I don't think porn-addicted cherry otakus would have a pride parade.

Today's US pornstars also mostly do porn to raise their profiles and thus their escorting profits. One hour of escorting (which is like 20 minutes of fucking) can pay them the same as a whole day of shooting porn and they can do multiple clients in a day.

Unless there's a new witch hunt on western porn studios I don't see a western jav import boom in the very near future. 3 major barriers for that: mosaics, the women(lacking in variety), the language. In the longterm japanese politics can eventually end the mosaic and technological advancements should net us free computer-generated subs.

In the short term I do however see western porn having to start imitating the creativity of japanese porn, particularly as the generation that's already growing up on internet porn grows sick of their wives.

It's better to have both parties on a separate entity as of current time being. It will be a total mess and weird production if both are handled by a single party.

Official subs would go a long way to increase the popularity of JAV outside of Japan.

Western porn becoming lower and lower budget due to amateurs on tube sites. Don't expect more creativity.

JAV has a "documentary" style, maybe it has a lot of the same appeal amateur porn, but looks very professional at the same time. It feels more "real," and looks better at the same time.

People in US play a lot of Japanese video games. Nintendo Switch is the hottest thing. I don't think Japaneseness by itself is inherently a problem, even in the Donald Trump era.

I wonder what would happen if JAV were made with the average American's tastes in mind. Good thing? Maybe not.

man you have no idea what you're talking about, Budgets aren't as high because of piracy(which a lot of that is on tube site), there's a bunch of creativity and so many studios to find whatever you want, Amateurs do not affect mainstream American porn at all, they have there own place in the industry.

on that documentary style thing, it depends where you look you can find documentary style, you can find storyline movies, and you can find all kinds of things in JAV

If JAV where made in the average american porn viewers taste, we'd be seeing a lot of DP, Anal, and IR

I'm with paparoach amateurs do not affect mainstream american porn and japanese porn, they have their own place

there are people who looking for amateurs stuff, there are people who need to watch porn to jerk off, doesn't matter who the performers are
