The majority of women in the Adult Film Industry push this narrow-minded mantra of "I Don't Need A Man" which is high comedy. You know the ones they constantly post "Motivational Quotes" and selfies showing off the money they make. However these same women would leave the industry in a heartbeat the second a Man with deep pockets would want to be with them.

I'm reminded of a conversation I had with Adult Film Star "Victoria June" awhile ago on Twitter. The conversation started when she tweeted out: "No woman likes community dick. Or charity dick. I want my dick to be expensive and exclusive. And if he's fucking it better be making him money" oh man I couldn't begin to tell you how absolutely ridiculous that statement looks even more so coming from her.

My response was basically to tell her that it was a long winded way of saying she was looking for a guy with deep pockets. Then she proceeded to compare her "Job" to that of a Dentist and a Teacher because she gets "Paid." The tone deaf arrogance of that statement isn't lost on me because statements like this have been said countless times by others in the industry.

What these women fail to realize is that it doesn't matter how you spin it once you step foot in that industry your tagged. The moment the camera starts rolling you can forget about ever being taken seriously. And if you do retire in this digital age no matter what kind of scrub job you do it's out there FOREVER whether they like it or not.

Now of course some people have been able to have a "Normal" life after Porn but that's not guaranteed. And contrary to what some people might believe there aren't many men and women out there who would want to be with an Adult Film Star even after retirement. That "Fame" and "Fortune" they have now only exists in that industry once they leave it all goes away...

I'm not about to say that every single woman in AV is looking to be a trophy wife but I'm not going to say there aren't any either. Anri Okita is the best example she found a Man looking for a trophy wife and she didn't hesitate to retire. And then she got engaged, married and pregnant all in one year.

Given the stigma the Adult Film Industry has Anri Okita was not going to have an easy time expanding into other ventures. Didn't stop her from trying though and I give her credit for that much because some people don't even do that. In fact in most cases some who have retired eventually come back because of said stigma.

Personally speaking I've got a lot of love and respect for those within the industry. However having said that I cannot gloss over the reality of once you enter that industry there's no going back. Your tagged the moment your name is on the dotted line and the camera starts rolling.

I would like to think Anri Okita knew this but given the way she's acted pre and post retirement she probably didn't. Nobody was going to ever look at her other "Work" and take it seriously.
