I don't currently consider myself a fan of hers, I'm a fan of her potential and think she is worth watching, and if she hits that next stage I believe she can do then I would consider buying her work

The awards are a sign that they invest in her, no one is going to put her above long established idols yet of course. But when you get awards in the start of your career it means if you keep doing well then you will likely rise to the top. They don't just give awards to random crap ones that they think don't have top potential.

Then they let the audience vote.

Finalists have to meet certain criteria such as a certain amount of sales in regards to the last year of the titles they made.

A new woman in JAV doing well in her first year is likely to get in.

In Japan at least a third are born naturally with partial eye crease because of Jomon mixture, with narrow noses etc. You can see this in Japanese children.

I have been to Japan and have many friends there, this is just how the Japanese people look. They are not even the same people genetically as Koreans, look at any DNA map and there is a huge difference.
