Since jakester just thanked the post where I talked about solutions to the no audio problem when encoding, it reminded me that some of you may be interested in this.

I recommended MeguIVit in the past for DVD ripping(you won't get better quality for JAV than with it), but it was getting old and had more than a few issues so I'm sure many gave up before being able to make it work.
Due to recent discoveries that made it not workl at all with some windows updates, I spent a bit of time reverse engineering it and repacked it in a recent version of the virtualization container so it should now work out of the box as it was meant to be.

All you have to do is start the exe, click the one-click button(don't do anything else before), drag and drop the VTS_01_1.VOB file(assuming it contains the main movie which it does 95% of the time, it use all the VTS_01_*.VOB files automatically and if those aren't all of the movie, just merge them first and load that file) and then either change a few settings or click go and you're done(after a few hours).

I'd set the preset in the encoder config tab to x264: [Vit] 480p 60fps Quality+3(it will make a smaller file that look better, but at the cost of taking more time to encode it) and you can also increase the one in the custom processing tab to either slower or very slow for another increase in quality(but it will be slower).
Also, If you have a fast computer, uncheck the Add pre-rendering job checkbox right below the profile in the encoder config tab(only if you have a fast computer, it actually helps if you have a slower one).

thanks for the advice. i am picking my next 12 videos to post and about 6 of them are videos i need to rip so: can you guarantee the revision works with windows 10 because dog help me i am running that puppy now?

I just tested it in a VM and I managed to encode a test file so the answer is yes even though x264 crashed the first time which was hopefully simply caused by me using a VM.
The second time went great though and the first worked after I retried it.

Another good tip if you want to retry a failed job, see where you're at or if you want to clear previous failed/aborted encodes is to go to the Queue tab after you start the encode which looks like this:

If a job has the status set to error, you can change it to waiting, hit the start button and it will retry it.
The clear button will delete all jobs(deleting the sandbox folder in the same folder as the exe also deletes all jobs as well as reset everything) which you may want to do from time to time or if you have an encode you aborted.

Uploaded? Beloved? I think not, I get decent upload speeds and it is easy. I don't have a prteference for any of them, for me filejoker is a popain in the ass, I throughly hate K2s for anything. It is all about ease of use, for me anyway. Since there seems to be some other preferences here I will just rotate sites and get to them all, except for K2s that is........

hey grisa, i haven't purchased any GTJ- videos but will. someone around here has most of them - that denizen of deep SM is only missing GTJ-008, 032, 035, 039 and 040. i, on the other hand, am missing: GTJ-001, -002, -006, -014, -021, -021, -025, -027, -028, --031, -032, -035 t0 -040, -042, -045 and -046. i know when i have filled in all my gaps, if someone doesn't do it before me, i will post all of GTJ- series.

the other group i am seriously collecting right now is the CORE- series by core. i should have them all in a couple of months.
