personally i find torrents to be a too big an investment in both time and bandwidth and that they need nursed more than i would wish - time and energy i simply do not have but if you have the correct host for direct downloads that seems to be the better alternative.

of course, it may be that we are coming to a time when we are running out of good direct download hosts - i don't look forward to that prospect but there it is

unable to download HDK-02 as disk won't rip . . .

don't know what the deal is but HDK-02 i purchased used must be damaged as it won't rip - it plays okay as a dvd but only one of the .vob files can be identified by the two different ripping software i am using, to-wit: handbrake and one of the xillisoft rippers.
