I think I cold use a little help. I have been trying to post ADV-0021. The movie that you guys helped me ID. I got the Vob files from zool on a group buy. I converted them to .mkv. They came out to a total of 12 gigs. Could someone help me to condense them so I can upload a normal sized movie?

jake, send a message to SamKook - he is the resident expert about ripping .mkv files around here.

i do, however, recollect seeing an article on the web somewhere talking about someone's experience ripping from .vob to .mkv and then ending up with a huge .mkv file when you have not consolidated your .vobs into a single .vob file. i don't have the expertise to tell you why that would be or even if that is the case.

i do know that consolidating the .vobs results in fewer ripping errors and i do that by configuring dvd decrypter from the get-go, which btw i learned from SamKook because i had problems ripping a lesbian fisting video starring the fabulous marie aoi.

Sounds like you're using settings that are so high it doesn't compress the video or makes it bigger or that part of it is repeated multiple times or it's messed up in a way that makes it very hard to compress or you're resizing it to HD resolution without knowing. Without having more details on what you're doing exactly, I can't pinpoint the source of the problem.

You could give MeguIVit a try, it was make so that people with zero knowledge on how encoding works could make high quality rip. I talked about it in this post and nobody reported any issues using my updated version as long as the antivirus is disabled while it runs(some block it's content since the app creates a virtual file system so it doesn't require installing lots of complicated stuff and it can be perceived as a software launching hidden exe files).

If you can't fix your problem, you can pm me and we'll figure it out, I don't mind at all.
