Ryushare Promotion (suspended)

I disagree. They're actually splitting their service soon and all their 'extreme (aka porn)' is suppose to go to a new host of theirs with some bs story. But I'm not an uploader I can only speak as a downloader and I've never had nor heard anything good about them other than they pay more which is why they got so many people to go to them in addition to buying off admins of ddl sites with premium accounts if they pushed their service.

I'm a Vietnamese and can confirm this. I do not know what exactly happened to him but in Vietnam porn is considered a taboo with very heavy punishment. Lots of forums have been brought down and admins spend years behind bars. The news source given is also valid. Guess i just switch to my debrid account then, only bought ryushare cause it's not supported there lol

funny thing is that Ryushare has banned IP from vietnam for quite sometime now
can't see how they be arrested for porn distribution in VN when VNese people couldn't access Ryushare =))

The admins here were paid off by all the ad revenue and I imagine referrals from their own accounts. Now this site is basically useless for DDLs because you guys put all your eggs in one basket and doing so was even compulsory. Maybe you shouldn't have let greedy people dictate policy?

Of course, lots of sites besides Akiba been hobbled now. It's like Megaupload all over again. Some people never learn.

You levy a very serious accusation that Akiba's only motivation for requiring Ryushare DDL's was greed. If their motivation was greed, they would have forbidden posters from using any free DDLs from competing sites, but they didn't. They also could charge for access to this site, which they don't. The Ryushare mandate simplified the process and reduced cost for those of us that aren't looking strictly for handouts, because it ensured that we had access to any DDL at Akiba with only one premium membership. Without this policy, posters would use dozens of different hosts. Thus, convenient downloading would require hundreds of dollars per month in premium membership fees. Also, running this site costs money. If Akiba ended up with a profit after paying their bills, good for them. This is an excellent site considering the content and the costs to members. The fact that Ryushare is gone and files have been lost is unfortunate, but it is not Akiba's fault. Now Akiba has more work to do to restore this site content, which I am certain they will handle, even though they won't get enough thanks. That is my opinion, which is different than yours.

You have no clue what you are jabbering about.

Furthermore, it makes me uneasy that there are idiots who actually feel the same way as u do.

Akiba would not be restoring anything, I don't think, and I'm sure the thanks they will give would be for not making people think otherwise. They are not responsible for what the uploaders here post, and are therefore not responsible or have any obligation at all to restore any content that was offered on this site. Being that the content was not stored on a server for or by Akiba, that is. Everything that was on Ryushare is gone, so if anything is to be restored either the original posters will have to upload everything again to a different host OR they won't do anything because most offered up mirrors to other hosts already.

Hi All,

Instead of repeating how sad it is that Ryushare is gone, it's time to move on. RS is no more.

Time to think about what hoster must become the new main hoster here on Akiba. I don't want to spend money to buy premium on hoster X only to learn two days later that hoster Y must be used.

I agree with hit_parader that using 1 hoster is a very good thing. In the past I have had 5 different premium accounts and that was when those account where cheap. But even so, it did cost a lot of money. Currently it could be 500 dollars per year. Having 1 hoster mandatory and allowing re-post on different ones is much better.

greetings,
Colweb

Yes, who will be the sacrificial lamb for the next primary hosting.

By the looks of some of the blogs that made it through the 2nd Great Purge, I'd say rapidgator is looking to be the new king.

Rapidgator is awful. Uploadable.ch is much better. I downloaded 3 500Mb files at about 45 min. ea. with no waiting time in between which is pretty good for free. Compared to 2 hrs. for a 250 Mb file with a 2 hr. wait in between on Rapidgator.

Yes, we should realize that more activity on a host will eventually draw attention.

Having a 'main' host again is suicide. You'd think people would get that by now. Sorry but there are no sure horses in terms of buying premium accounts. All we can do is encourage mirrors.

Uploadable.ch seems to be pretty good. One of the best free hosts I've seen. Just threw a bunch of links in a download manager and got them all in a fair time at about 200kbs.

Not many use them. I have heard they kept charging people's Credit Card after expired month.

UPLOADED.net much better.They been operating since 2005.

Uploaded.net used to do purges back in the day. They aren't shy to delete accounts that get complaints. But otherwise they're good even for free.
