IMO Maki Tomoda's comeback is the exception not the rule. She kept her stage name and seems to exert influence on her movies. For whatever reason, she hasn't shot interracial, Sunshine Boys, The Tokyo Stooges, r*** etc. Perhaps Ai Uehara could pull off a similar feat.
