well, I've discovered it by searching a site that can identify japanese AVs, and here I am, I also like the website's design and concept, the simplicity, and ofcourse the community. sorry for my bad english.
 
What attracted me was the kind people here in Akiba. Here, we don't have admins who try to delete our accounts if we become inactive for a while or try to delete our accounts because we don't contribute. When I download a torrent, I contribute by helping seed as much as I can.

Some other forums out there will delete people's accounts just being being inactive or not contributing, thats a load of B.S and is a sure way to push people away.

I like it here in Akiba because none of that B.S is present.

You have to consider that unfortunately many members from Japan doesn't like to talk at all, maybe language barrier? well, they compensate by posting javs :cheer:

Junior idols is basically all I come here for. This is the first time I've been to this Chatterbox section to be honest even though I've joined for nearly 2 years :pandalaugh:. I used to browse the JAV as well, but I'm glad I got over the addiction by just bookmarking the "U-15 torrents section instead of the homepage which has tempting links to JAV :nosebleed:.
 
Jr idol forums, mainly videos. Theres a few strong posters in the dd forums. That and the DVD club, otherwise that's it.
 
I was just looking for an alternative to Hongfire. Akiba was still fairly new when I joined so it wasn't as crowded. Leechasd was the main provider of h-manga magazine torrents which I used to check out. I was also a frequenter of the hentai anime torrent section where I used to post torrents of requested videos as well as new releases. A-O is also where I was first introduced to IV videos, Reon Kadena, Noriko Kijima and Sena Akikawa :nosebleed:.

Now I just download the occasional IV video from akiva, or a bukkake video from a couple of posters that I follow and participate in the DVD club. The occasional moderating duty slips in from time to time.

A similar JAV forum, that I won't TALK about :-), went down, so I registered here.

Also, when I did searches for JAV, I'd often be linked to Akiba's torrent threads.

I stay on and post because of my avid interest in JAV. The sight is accessible, and easy to use.

I concur with this reason.
I can't particularly remember how I landed on Akiba-Online. I suspect I had searched for more information on urabon magazines. A result turned up the name of a Japanese Adult Video idol whose JAVs were all mosaiced, but under a different name, had been in a urabon. That link linked to A-O.
I enjoy Japan. I have been there several times. I hope to go there again in December. Let me hope that airfares will go down, and the $/¥ exchange rate will go up. :please: A-O has a good level of information about the aspects of Japan which are not suitably covered in other forums.
And of course, I love Japanese videos, in all their disciplines, for what they get away with. May that perservere. :tehheh:
Although, if I had known about all the content here at A-O before registering, I would have registered under a deeper pseudonym. Some people in the real world know who is vincent_z. :coldsweat:
