Can't read it so i guess i'm out.
Are you guys ever going to have English subtitles for your movies or am i going to have to keep arranging translations?
I tell you, it would make it so much easier for myself and the many others who are getting together to do it ourselves. I'm sure it would prove profitable too, you just need to pick the right movies that's all.
Also not being able to use .ass or .srt sub files with R Player is a bummer as i have a number of movies that i have subs for but cannot get the movies online. If i could play them on your player i would have more incentive to purchase from your website.
That will happen at some point.
You know the cost to make English translation and it is even more expensive if you have to do it legally sharing the revenue with the movie production studio that give you the rights to add subtitles to their movies. For you it may be as easy as "ask me what translation do you want". For us, we have to keep everything legal so we have to ask each maker to agree.
We have too many movies that it is impossible to subtitles them all. How would you pick up "the right movie"? Everyone like different things.
You are not being able to use sub files on R Player at this moment as this subtitles do not come from a legal source. If we make the subtitles from a legal source you will be able to use subtitles in the R Player.
For now, what it makes more sense is to subtitle the anime movies as this ones has more conversation.
Are there any plans to improve connection speed from european countries to r18?
I really like to buy more stuff but the download speed is a pain in the ass to me and steaming doesn't work cause it lags as fuck also with low settings. I got a 100mbit/s connection at my home country so i don't think its too slow to stream properly. I've got these problems since spring 2015.
Should i blame my ISP or are the connection really that bad from europe?
sorry about bad english grammar
Last time I asked about playing subtitles in R Player it was coming soon. That will happen at some point.

Double post: https://www.akiba-online.com/thread...nd-buy-online-streaming-in-dmm-co-jp.1594953/Is dmm.co.jp online streaming part actually unblocked for international user? It used to be blocked, but for last few months I can access dmm.co.jp streaming section and watch demo. Can I just directly create an account in dmm.co.jp and buy online streaming? If I click the retail part then the international user cannot access error would come out.
I know R18.com is designed for international user but dmm.co.jp offers much cheaper price for the same AV movie, and I am in Asia so even the server is in Japan would not be a problem for me.

Can anyone think of a good reason for dmm doing this? It makes no sense. I've been in Japan and know that they like to not allow people to do obvious things for no reason whatsoever, but I'd hope there's more to it than that. Oh well, they lose viewers which will mean a loss of advertisters.
Can you explain how I can do this please?Nice, that works as well.
It appears that jQuery is used for some minor site functionality (I noticed "function tag_view()" and "function recent_check()") so it may have some unintended consequences, but overall I think most people wouldn't notice. It's also doable for other browsers.
The Japanese porn companies are very strange. I asked Ideapocket if they would allow me to use their images on my website - which is just a little fan club a few of us have set up to promote Michiru Morisaki, a new Ideapocket AV star we love. They said flatly no. I even got my question translated and then got the reply translated. Still the answer was no. However, if I signed up to the R18.com website - then I can display IP images from their as long as they are linked. Also in the EU you can embed Tweets with images without falling foul of copyright (since you're only passing on what is already out there). You can do the same with YOUTUBE.
I have always wondered why DMM block things. The way around it is though very simple. You need a proxy IP in Japan.
R18.com is part of DMM - same as Idea Pocket. It's all one big company.okay thanks. When you say your site, do you mean R18.com or Ideapocket? R18.com are sometimes behind Ideapocket, so we've used their Tweets to put images up. But if you are allowing us to use Ideapocket images that would be fantastic. We are wanting to launch an APP in android and iphone next year. We love Michiru Morisaki so please let Ideapocket's Director's and Producers know and perhaps the lovely lady herself she has a fan club in Britain! Cheerio. PS. We obey all the image rules and never crop them or add text over them.
I hate to sound like the 'Leave Britney Alone' guy from the last decade, but R18's owned by a pretty massive company that's been around forever.
No amount of whining on a small foreign BBS is going to convince them to update their DRM policies that a few of the studios they sell on their online marketplace request.
