OK, to be 100% clear on this, my suggestion is that you include metadata about the purchaser int he tags, so that (short of them scrubbing it, which is of course possible, but essentially akin to someone circumventing your DRM, which is also possible) you are able to determine who uploaded unauthorized copies to filesharing sites. This is what most DRM-free sellers do.

I'm not going to bother talking in circles about this because I've said everything I wanted to say and you're just making me repeat myself by not reading what I'm saying very closely.

We already talked about your suggestion internally to add the metadata with the user information into the movie so we know who shared the movie.
The problem is the only data we ask is an email and password. Anyone is able to create a new email account. The name in the credit card information can be also avoid with prepaid/gift cards so we do not have really any data to add to the movie to know the user who uploaded the movie to a file sharing service.

I think protecting digital data isn't that easy at all. And you only can raise the level someone needs to crack it (knowledge and effort time-wise).

Some companies have their own discussion boards. But most don't have. And even if they have one they don't respond very often.

Just wanted to echo what someone else said about having a representative of some sort from a company here being helpful or at least replying to comments. It's that sort of customer outreach that gets people to actually pull money out of their pockets to use a service like this.

Not sure if the user R18 is paid to do this or if it's out of his own time, but I'm sure the time spend has gained some amount of dividends.

I have been purchasing movies from r18 regularly for the past couple of months. It's pretty much my favorite place to buy porn now. Just the sheer amount of content is enough to keep me interested. It has movies from a lot of great studios like Moodyz, MVG, Dogma, WAAP, some of my favorite producers for bukkake and gokkun. I usually snatch up the newest gokkun movies right away. If the newest batch of movies I want is too expensive no problem for me because given the sheer amount content there I can hold myself over on a channel subscription with my favorite series or an older bukkake/gokkun movie I never seen before.

I can also rent a movie for less than $5 which is fucking great. Because what happens with my collection being so big already is I watch a movie once and I probably won't watch it again for months or maybe even a year or two. I also get the movie instantly and if its an older movie that's hard to find it saves me time searching for a torrent.

I have been downloading JAV torrents for a few years and I have almost 4tb worth of it. I mean free JAV is great don't get me wrong, I still do torrent for titles that can't be bought easily for a good price, but being able to buy/rent a movie or pay a fee for access to thousands of movies is well worth my money. I have had no problems using the R-player myself, its not perfect like VLC but its more than adequate for the way I watch JAV. Compared to other JAV and western porn sites I've paid for r18 has the best bang for my buck hands down.

I just wanted to show support and I appreciate you guys talking to the people and answering questions. As an IT professional myself I understand the frustration there is in dealing with people who have technology issues.

I think using VPN will solve the problem

and don't choose english / american flag, just stick with japanase (use google translation when you need to translate, sometimes the translation its not good enoguh but its ok as long we still can access the DMM)

and I think the R18 is still not complete enough compare to DMM, what do you guys think ?

On IEnergy's website they have a video, IENE-602 that supposedly released on September 10, but it's not up on DMM and subsequently, R18. WHY? Does this happen a lot, that not all movies make to DMM/R18 or something? I never really check releases on official company sites, but I saw this one by chance and was waiting for it and now I'm confused.

They said that there are some releases that are first published on DVD and some time later are allowed in the digital catalogue. This may be an example.

Is that link working? I just get an error page. When I search manually using "iene00602" I get nothing, and even searching "iene" and then sorting by release date, all recent videos (IENE-601, 603, 604, 605, etc) all show up, but 602 is missing.

Oh I see, you're using the "American" version. That version is missing stuff. If you use a proxy or Tor browser w/ Japan exit nodes (my preference) you can access the Japanese DMM site and see everything.
