How much do you like Yua Mikami?

I think of myself a fan too. She's pretty good when she play some kind of role, like a top in this case, or the "lucky nipples" vid a while ago. If the AV is purely plotless, then she isn't very special or unique compared to the many busty and un-shy AV performers out there. She is best when the role involves some kind of J-pop idol (back to her roots) or something glam. She's not the hottest in the business but she can rock glam.

SSNI-101 was really good, with a part where she plays an idol. I mentionned it before, but it's the last movie I saw from her and from the movie trailers I've seen from her other releases, the next Yua movie I will watch is SSNI-178.

Been a long time... I was waiting for some development on Honey PopcORN, to continue the conversation but actually months passed....

So Playno1 finally have a report involving HP... turns out playno1 (more accurately the author's company) was offered a chance to organize/produce a concert in Taiwan for HP. Yua Mikami is hugely popular in Taiwan (and most Chinese communities) (meanwhile her stardom in homeland Japan is already sliding). So on the surface it's a no-brainer. But playno1 actually turn down the offer. He stated the reason that their company lacks the resource and experience to produce a decent concert. But that reason seems far too diplomatic to me. It may be true that a real pop concert isn't the company's core business. But you can also ask why Yua (and HP's agent) doesn't get a real Taiwan music outfit to do the job. The unspoken answer is that no real music outfit would take HP seriously. So a real music outfit won't take HP as a real music act. And a AV-media company wouldn't treat HP as a viable AV-related event. It's just my speculation, but it's a hint at HP's root problem, it's neither here (music) nor there (adult entertainment).

So playno1 further report on yet another AV-to-Pop transition. Turns out Moe Amatsuka is headlining another group called un panopticon girl (so far no youtube vid yet). The group also features a busty SOD girl Kiri Matsuri. While we wait for un_pan_girl do something beyond posting tweets. Playno1 mentions some gossips/factors around the AV-to-Pop phenom.
1. at least some AV performers are attracted by the glamour and fame of pop groups. To the extent that one member of Ebisu Muscat openly says that chance to be part of Muscat is the main reason she hasn't yet retired from AV.
2. both studio and performers are using pop group to generate buzz/promote/prolong the a girl's AV career and stardom
3. OTOH, even very active high ranking AV idols such as Moe Amatsuka can't guarantee a sold-out debut concert (this is the Asian subtle way to explain the real reason they "humbly" turned down HP's offer)

So back to Yua Mikami, having read playno1's story I went and check for independent news/vids by HP, very thin. Their youtube channel is pretty pathetic. I was a little skeptical of their debut and hoping that at worst it's a harmless distraction on her AV career. But the reality might have turned out far worse than I imagine possible. Has the group been judged a flop? and suddenly her celeb status-idol cred been shattered? So where is her AV career going then? IMHO, she's a very good porn star with added magic dust of idol cred. I think if studio keeps up investing into her productions (make-up, costumes, settings etc) she can make great AV for many years.

There was really nothing special about HP to ever expect any success from them, 1 legit AV star and 2 nobodies AV actresses, and they aren't even that good of singers and dancers they where going nowhwere, they where an instant flop, and Yua was never a celebrity, or had idol cred she's an upper tier porn actress and that's it. She doesn't want her whole career to be porn, this was her attempt to break out and it flopped.

AV/Porn stars doing music has always been a thing, a few girls in the US industry are trying hard, and in AV it's been a thing for a long time, just with the internet its become more abundant. Ebisu have done there thing, Ayaka Tomoda has done many things with many different groups. there was a big thing like in 2010 where a bunch of singles by different actresses, called like Honeypop or something, Uta Kohaku did a song called shining. Sakura Mana, and Minami Kojima have a solidly successful duo, who have been going strong for a few years. If Yua wants to become a cross over star she should try to do it how Sakura Mana Did, spent years building herself up JAV wise, then branched out and is now a Top selling book writer, directs commercials and music videos, is on Abema news every week, and has a growing youtube channel(where like once or twice a month she has a video get over 400k views fast in her 147k followed youtube channel). She worked to the top has won best new actress, and best actress among many awards she has, and is probably top 2 current JAV Actresses, and she stays central to Japan. Yua tried to do everything at once, and used her very small idol cred to get instant success and failed.

No matter if it's lack of talent or temperament or opportunity, there are reasons her J-pop career was not sustainable at AKB. Then she went to AV which was a boom. I understand if she want more than just being a top idol of AV. To some people, there's stigma in AV. But why didn't she learn from earlier AV-to-celeb examples? No matter what her thinking is, hopping to K-pop must be an attempt to bypass her earlier difficulty in J-pop. So what about K-pop that would be easier? Seems to me entirely wishful thinking. I have never heard of Japanese making a K-pop career or vice versa. (not that I can name more than 2 K-pop acts) She speaks some Korean which must be an uncommon skill in the AV circle, but how is that enough to survive in K- celeb circle? In her "debut" vid she needed a translator to answer some canned questions. I have never heard of dance-cover. After so many months I still have never heard of any dance cover turned into a success story.

If she can drop her ego and join up with Muscat Ebisu and actually learn to sing and dance on stage, there may still be some future door open for non-sex entertainment jobs. It's hard to predict her future, but I sense one path is a not-too-slow slide off the top-20 ranking status then she might find herself with her youth nearly spent and back to square one. Would she be willing to accept one of the typical options for a washed-out AV idol? She might not like it.

I think now is an important phase of her life. She has just enough of basic ingredients, pretty face, likeable personality, hot figures, a passable skill level for acting/speaking (no more than TV variety shows and cheapo B-movies) and some recognition from AV. She can make it, but looking for shortcuts would ruin this narrow window of opportunity.

I listen to a bit of Kpop and Twice has 3 japanese members (one of the most popular Kpop groups). The thing is, they were trainees for few years before they were selected for entering a group. During that time, they also learned korean. Actually, one of the japanese member is the best dancer among the group.

The Kpop market is too saturated. They even make TV programs for kpop groups that failed and members try to get a second chance by forming another group through the tv show or by promoting her group. It's completely stupid, but that's one real side of kpop. So, at least, she had the guts to try something by herself. But she should have tried it in Japan instead of Korea.

At current, Mikami's pet project is still around despite Moko jumping ship and Matsuda dropping off the radar. They are currently scounting and recruiting members with a new album schedueled for January.

For Mikami's future, at her current stage, she could be either Hatano or Kirara's successor. Make a big enough name through the grind, stash enough money and wind down or invest whatever money she had somewhere and establish her name as a premium brand with scant releases.

She won't be either, the only way she becomes Yui Hatano is by leaving S1(which would be a dumb move on her part) and just going crazy, Kirara she worked her way to her position, she put in the effort over what 10 years? Yua probably won't last that long. She won't have a long JAV career, her interest are entirely in a different place, if she could find a regular tv gig or something then i'm sure she'd drop JAV

She seems very passionate looking at her releases, making Yoshimura her regular Co-star.

At current, she is quite popular in Taiwan, standing along side Hatano. As I said, she could swing either way. Looking at how she tease people on Twitter, I say she is in for the long haul.

Tweet from Official Muscat Account for Sakura Moko jumping ship :-

https://twitter.com/EBISU_MUSCATS_2/status/1037267001759027200

I'm might have jump the gun for Matsuda Miko because she is still active on her twitter account :-

https://twitter.com/miko__m1028

But she did not have any new releases from S1 since July :-

https://www.s1s1s1.com/actress/-/detail/=/id=1040130/

So something could be up with her career, might be in the midst of a studio switch

Whatever the case, you only need to hop over to the group official cite where there's a banner and video in your face for a recruitment drive :-

She tried with AKB. I would say, with 200+ girls (even more now as they keep adding new groups), only top members were able to use their popularity to do something. Some are actresses now but in minor movies I think, some quite the idol industry, etc... Even Mayu Watanabe, I don't think she is doing anything special other than releasing photobooks.
There are AV idols music groups, she could do the same. Of course, she can't reach a huge mainstream popularity like Perfume with her group. So, for an "underground" idol group, it could be done.

She should just go solo in Korea, honestly. Not that it'll be huge or anything, but...

The audience was pretty much showing up for her, anyway. I recall so many comments on Korean forums and etc basically just saying, "The group is just Yua with the other girls fiddling in the background." lol!

Indeed HP is not a coherent grouping. It's hard to tell who is to blame. Are the other two girls lacking in talent, beauty and/or commitment? Is the problem with Yua. Maybe a bit of both. Seems Yua wants the stage and attention all to herself. True or not, it LOOKS like it's a Yua Mikami ego trip. I'm not optimistic Yua can find new members to join HP or whatever small group centered around herself. No matter whose problem it is, she has the most to lose.

Meanwhile... her latest AV are OK fappable but no surprise (at least for me) any more like up to late last year. By comparison Shokotas still give me the shiver whenever I see her covers. Yua needs to up her AV game and take a rest at K-pop and any distraction that isn't a sure success.

It's easy to tell who's to blame, Yua i'm sure she had a big pull in putting this together,The problem is none of them where talented enough as musicians to stand out in a very over saturated market, if she choose the right market(Taiwan), and if she would've picked actually talented artist to go with her(instead of former idol rejects with no pull) then she maybe could've done something but all in all this was Yuas project, she deserves the blame. I'm sure she will easily be able to find members, you know 5 minutes of fame is better then none so it'll continue if she wants it to, and I don't think she can lose more in regards to it then she already did, the debut is the big thing that sets you up, if you go high or stay low, and they started very low and won't get out of it, so continuing it is just for the ego trip.

Second part i've said it for a bit, if she found something else she wanted to do her focus would be on that instead of JAV, and with HP it clearly happened because her latest av haven't really been anything to write home about, it's a watch and you're done might check it out again in time. I don't see her upping her JAV game, she has no need to do so, she has a comfy set up, and is already near the top and I also don't see her being around for much longer then another year.

Wow, it's been that long... But indeed she's given us nothing to talk about, not even the "ground-breaking" co-starring with Shokotas.

It seems she has discovered a new hobby: she's starting a new fashion brand, YOUR'S, playing off her name "Yua".

Is this yet another hare-brain idea like K-pop? Problem is fashion branding or microbranding is a dime a dozen now, to have your own brand is nothing special, to sustain profitability is altogether different.

Unlike the devoid-of-content K-pop fiasco, what's different is at least that there are a few pieces of products already on show, and they look quite decent, at least more sensible and fashionable than Gundam-inspired fashion. I'm still a little concerned her brand is obviously targeting female customers but her fan base is what... 97% male? Or I'm totally off? Anyway it's just started so I shouldn't over-analyze it. As usual I wish her all success.

... Actually circling back to her day job, again I feel I will have a bigger harder erection next time I watch her porn, thinking here is a hard-driven careerist forever striving for success and never stay still.

1.06.08, 1.55.58 Blowjob after cumming then kiss. I like how she gives no hesitation about that. It was brief but very hot.

SNIS-964 30:20 She also does the same thing to another guy :D

If this is your sort of thing, you really need to watch EBOD-386 with Uehara Ai who does it several times for even longer and far more enthusiastically.

43:10 Guy pulls out and ejaculates on her tongue (not very much though). She immediately goes for his cock right after which means she must have swallowed that load and while he tries to resist she keeps a firm grip on legs. When he finally manages to extract himself she pulls him in for a deep kiss with lots of tongue (yup, he has to taste his own cum :p). And than she pushes him down and goes back to blowing him while the camera eventually slowly pans away.

1:07:30 The handjob that goes on forever, even after he comes. She just won't let go.

1:21:55 He dumps his load on her tongue and there's so much it spills everywhere around her mouth. And she's right back to blowing him again with cum dripping off her chin. This guy handles it rather more stoically than most though. This goes on for almost 2 minutes.

1:55:04 You know that fat guy in SNIS-964? He was doing Uehara Ai before that. He pulls out and tries to aim for her mouth but it ends up going all over her face instead (marksmenship fail ). And...you guessed it...she guns right for his dick despite his obvious discomfort and obvious attempts to extract himself. She stubbornly hangs on, forces him back on to the sofa and even pushes him back down when he tries to pull her away from his dick. This scene is particularly hilarious and goes on for almost 2 minutes too.
