Ahh just don't feed the troll.

Ahh... don't get me wrong. I'm not dissing her acting skills. She has above average acting skills. She plays both slut and virgin quite well ... I won't say great, but pretty good for a big bust girl (wink wink Rara Anzai) She also did both sub and dom roles quite decently. Yeah I agree she did quite alright in terms of roles and variety of vids.

She does have the most awkward smile in the industry. It really looks more like a cringe when she smiles. After a while I learn to just stare at her tits when she (tries to) smile. LOL

When I said "Persona" I (always) means off screen persona. But I guess it also extends a bit to her work ethics and reputation in the industry. She never gave a shit about fans and had no interest to be nice and friendly to fans or anyone especially at any live events. She would only perform when there'a a pay cheque stapled on it. But modern day idols have to work their social network persona and build non-monetary rapport with fans.

BTW I never heard that she "lost interest" in remaking stereotype'd roles and repetitive vids. I think she retired because the money and offer was declining. She was always upfront JAV career is all 100% about money (and her being a bit lazy and demanding). Ultimately it was insufficient fan support/money and perhaps she found a easier life as club hostess.

I and every Julia fans are happily swallowing her repetitive role/theme, I think she has done each and every stereotyped roles more than you can count on two hands.
I agree with everything you said. I like Aimi's body and her submissive roles was good.
But what you said about her "off screen persona" seems very true. She never seem interested in the fans. Fans support is the real reason you'll have a jav career and make money.
;)"Fake it, til you make it" as they say lol.
She couldn't even do that.
I also never heard she lost interest. She was just lazy and thought getting fuck on camera will make her boatloads of cash and instant fame.
She forgot she not the only hottest piece of ass in the industry. haha

Difference is, I love that she doesn't have any fan-servicey persona. I love that she only work for the money. I don't mind if my fav idols share some of her life, esp if she's sharing a lot of nudity and even sex talk. But if she's doing just to cater to fans than no thanks, I'd rather she doesn't even make any effort. Of the modern age persona-powered idols, I think I'd only give Kirara Asuka a 10, Eimi Fukada an 9, they really are good at it and have a big female fan base. You gotta respect that, man. Yua Mikami gets a 6 from me, she's successful at it, but not to my taste. Her persona is way too forced and pretentious for me. I love her on screen performance. But her off screen persona is a waste of time.

Not catering to fans who buys your movies is pretty much a death knell to your career. You aint lasting without fan support.
I could care less too, but then I'm not a porn star who makes movies to make money. No honey, no money

I met Aimi in 2018 when I was living in Tokyo. I had a relatively long conversation with her and like two other fans. I'm feeling pretty depressed right now, so can't really muster the energy to write about the experience, but maybe sometime soon.
Suffice to say, I was very surprised that I was able to just casually have a conversation with her at the event. My Japanese isn't amazing, but yeah, I can have meaningful conversations -- dependent on the complexity of the topic. Haven't really been able to bring myself to review my notes from the convo, but may also do that at some point if you're interested.
I have a desire to make a documentary about the Japanese porn industry, though whether I'll ever get to that, who knows. I'm an up and coming doc filmmaker.

Yeah sure I can imagine in the right setting she is very easy to open up herself to strangers. You are very lucky. Obviously I'm deeply interested in your convo, you even made notes! Hah you might actually have what it takes to be doc maker. If you were really to make a doc. Well first you need to go back to Japan and live there, but that's impossible now. And you need to make friends with at least a few ex-idols. (active idols are probably too guarded to talk (and too busy) to talk to doc makers).
