JAV Stars - Reaction To Western Fans?

Something i've been curious about - do we know how JAV stars feel about their western fans? Even how they feel about finding out they have Western fans?

I have one or two I follow on Twitter and they seem genuinely grateful when a western fan tweets them.
Anyone have any insights?

I don't know for sure, but I guess they don't really care for foreign fans, because most of them don't try to greet their fans with english CMIIW

or they know that there priorities are there local fans, so they focus on them more often.

Hitomi Tanaka, and Anri Okita seem to enjoy there western fans, and talk with them, or got to events to see them

Ai Uehara used to sometimes respond to english tweets from fans with stuff like "Thank You". The only catch, she wrote it all in katakana which I always found funny, because I was never sure if she did it in a jokey way, or if she geniuinly didn't know that most foreigners probably can't read kana, even if she technically wrote english.

I've seen some english back and forth tweeting on Yuu Kawakami's account, well, she tried to, at least, though not with a fan but rather one of the american actors she played with in one of her interracial flicks.

Maki Hojo sometimes responds to english tweets.

Then there's Ruka Kanae who used to have her own english twitter account.

She appearently stopped using it last november and she rarely responded to other tweets, I think she just used it as a simple english practice more than anything else, but it's something at least.

yes I think JAV still not popular in western countries (for non asian people), most of american or european people that I know they like JAV are asian descent

few years ago I read news most of JAV downloaders are from china, hongkong and south korea

I think the main issue they have is the Mosaic, and the guys they use. There's also a bit of distaste for Loli and Rapey stuff, but not as major as the Mosaic

I'm sure they are aware they have Western fans, and they appreciate it, but thats about it. They are in the Japanese adult industry and they aren't looking to jump ship. Its pretty much the same feeling most other Japanese in the entertainment industry feel. A lot of Jpop artists and bands are aware of their international fame, but their focus is Japan and that won't change. This is also influenced by the Japanese's strong sense of nationalism.

I don't think her lackluster performances would make her fail in the western market, because most western porn stars can't perform either. Most of them have great oral skills but their orgasms sound incredibly fake and forced, but I think that also has to do with the lackluster performances of the male performers.

ah i worded that all wrong, so Marica Hase went over in what 2012? she was already a performer who did everything, but she had to do all that to a higher degree just to get recognized and even with all that she's a lower tier person. Hitomi who is promoting the crap out herself but does none of the (anal, dp stuff) she's going to get 5 minutes of fame then pretty much disappear over there.
