Yes Mister Motiman RBD-690 is very good but very similar to RBD-650. So on another side, DVDES-825 is fun and dialogues seem to be very interesting so this one would be another approach full of surprises we don't know yet. My preference is give a chance to diversity for curiosity.

I can always work on DVDES-825 after RBD-690. It's just that RBD-690 would take less work so i can have the order placed quicker.

I agree with you on having more diversity which is why i tried to have variety in my selections but ultimately i still have personal preferences too so there are going to be movies which seem similar.

Okay i am going to start with the translation for RBD-690 starring Rina Ishihara and try to get the timings complete this week. Please be patient as time is not so easy for me to find and so it may take a while before we are in a position to place the order.

PLEASE PLEASE contact me by either sending me a PM or just mention it here that you voted for it. So far i am only aware of one person who voted for it which makes it difficult to organize at the moment. If anyone who hasn't voted for it yet but would wish to donate towards it please let yourself known too. The more people who agree to donate, the less we have to individually shell out so please make sure you are able to send payments through PayPal. Other payment methods may be available but you will have to contact the translator themselves to find out how.

I am hoping that if enough people do agree than we could get it done for $5-$10 USD each.

There is no reason to not keep voting for other movies as we can continue working on other projects once we have completed this order.

At present count we have 27 votes in total which is pretty good for something that has only been running for just over a week. Just imagine if all 27 of you were to agree on one sub. That would mean getting the sub for just a few bucks each. It's just a pipe dream at the moment but we will get there i'm sure.

What i plan to do is create another thread with a similar approach. This time though i want to create a poll which allows me to see who is voting for each movie which is why there is a need to start a new thread. I will select the more popular titles on this poll once again which is why i ask that you keep voting for them if you are interested.

The movies that have not gained as many votes will be left out and i will select others in their place. I think ten movies is a good number so i will stick with that. I do want to involve more types of JAV movies such as Loli, Incest or Bukkake so i will keep an eye out for movies in that genre which seem interesting.

What i was meant to do ohgodtoomch was to make votes visible so i could see the list of people who are wanting to donate. I would then invite them to a private conversation page where we can organize the project further.

I am thinking of just asking for donations of $10 USD (made through PayPal so their will be an additional fee of between $0.50-$1.00 USD). If anyone wants to donate more, that would obviously be very useful. It could be less if there are enough of us but if we can't get all the required amount than i will cover the rest as i want to get this going and i'm not going to wait around for weeks.

All those who donate will be credited by their Akiba nickname on the sub if they wish.

Maybe I'm wrong and it won't be too hard to get ten people to commit to one movie.

I agree that with the number of members here at akiba, let alone those that are interested in English subs of their fav porn you'd think that 10 people could step forward for a group effort.
The hurdle here is that they actually have to pay. Having dealt with the stingiest and greediest people over the years I can say without a doubt that it's a hard task to pull off.
I think one of the smaller issues is that the poll has too many options. Therefore not focusing enough effort in a few. If you had limited it to only 3 options I'm think you'd have reached your goal. Perhaps you can try that next time.

I don't think too many options was the problem, if anything I think you need more options. I personally didn't cast a vote because I wasn't too interested in any of the mentioned videos, I'd say the same applies to many people. The Urumi video looks ok, but not something I'd pony up $10 for. If you have a larger number of options or just ask people to suggest movies freely (we know how much people love doing that here) it would give you a much better idea of what people are interested in funding. Knowing what people are interested in is the first step.

For example, I'd say the DMCR-28 purchase we did went pretty smooth. That's because a lot of people showed interested in it. In fact after the initial people had already paid late comers were still stepping up to contribute.

Even the mass bukkake videos are a bit of a turn off. I don't mind seeing a girl take a few shots to the face or in her mouth but not the huge amount that we see in the dedicated bukkake/gokkun movies.

How about something like MIGD-669. It's not a bukkake/gokkun movie but it does seem to involve a lot of cum play. Also having two girls is always more fun as the interaction between the two can be quite fun, especially when they start 'fighting' over who gets the cum.

Private and Dorcel were also very good too. Now all these studios are a bag of crap which is why my interest in western porn has dissipated and my love for JAV has grown.

I find any movie with subtitles is greatly improved by having subs even from genres i don't particularly enjoy. It's why i have indicated that i am willing to branch out to other types of movie in my next poll. I do remember checking out the free samples fyfiul was giving out when he still had his website running. I wish now i had donated to some to have a full movie translation to watch. Who knows it may have turned my opinion of gokkun around!

I think you missunderstood... we already got it. But you probably wont like it if you're not into gokkun, not to mention its about 10GB in size.

I know that you are grouping together for desioner to purchase the dvd and then he rips it for you guys, but i was talking about actually having the movie translated as well. Are you guys funding a translation too or does the movie already have a translation at point of purchase?
