The perception of girls changes completely in VR. Before VR I didn't know a single name of a Japanese actress, I didn't care a bit. But when you see them in VR you see them as real people, and you start to be interested to know if they have shot more VRs, or if they are in upcoming releases.
One thing that happens to a lot of people is that a VR movie is much more intimate, the girls talk to you, and you have the fantasy that the girl is with you, and not with an actor. With the actresses you like, you don't want to see them in 2D with other actors, you get a little jealous...

Haha, I did already have favorites even before VR. But I know what you mean. I've always preferred POV videos as it looks more like interpersonal interaction. Never was a fan of 3rd person perspective views where we watch some guy getting fucked, cos the thought is always "WTF? Why this ugly old fat dude and not me?" I mean did you watch STARS-306? Mana Sakura, Ogura Yuna (in her brunette phase, where she was hottest), and Tadai Mahiro. Imagine being sandwiched by that trio. Clearly the guys in there were totally having fun in the shoot despite it being 'work'. So jealous...
So for me, VR is the ultimate JAV experience since its almost always POV. I don't have to see the faces of all those other dudes anymore.

But yes, having a closer view of the girls plus them speaking more personally to you instead of a 3rd person dude makes all the difference - even if the conversation is rather 1-sided. My opinion of Sakura Momo went up a ton. I liked her even before this but I didn't rate her that highly before. I didn't pay much attention to Kasui Jun either, I ranked her below Ishikawa Mio in the girls with smooth white skin and are also paipan category. But she overtook Mio for me in VR where she just looks amazing. Her skin and complexion is almost unreal. And those perky pink nipples...oh... For this very reason, I've also become a fan of Saitou Amiri. If they have perky pink nipples they can bring up close to the camera in VR, I'm totally a fan.

That's such sad news. Looking back now, she always seemed somewhat distant in her performances. I hoped it was just stress or lack of experience, turns out truth was much darker. Adult industry can put an immense pressure on a person, and without proper help and support it's a recipe for disaster. Who knows what was going on behind the scenes. Rest in peace, Nanami.

I just read that Yokomiya Nanami committed suicide. I am in shock... I was downloading a movie of her and deleted it. I don't know if I'll be able to watch them again, in VR it's even more difficult.... Rest in peace.

There are some good results, although it's rare to find an exact match with more niche interests. I found maybe 5 decent deepthroat vr scenes since 2019. TMAVR-203 seems like a good match though

Separate file, but only with the streaming version. Only works with their awful player. Not even with this. They don't work for me with their PC VR player. Only giant letters come out in the center of the screen. Maybe with the Quest player it will work better.

December 10th seems to be the date of her passing. I could only find one article about it from ameblo jp and the information is limited. Some tweets from fellow actresses etc.

I was in the same boat as you. My initial reaction was to delete everything and never watch her videos again. Maybe it's becuase I feel a sense of guilt in a way by watching her work throughout her career, and now knowing where it all ended.

After some thought I decided it would not be the right thing. To simply forget about her is a worse fate then anything to be honest.

In the end I decided to keep a select few titles, early ones where she seems to have it the best. Smiling and laughing with gentle sex. There are some of those. I'm going to purge everything else.

Note to Walle12;

There are quite a few early VR titles of her, all or mostly natural with gentle sex. Even though they are 4K, the quality is some of the best until 8K. I remember you telling me you liked DSVR-1120 a lot. She was very talented at VR indeed and deserves to be remembered.

Side note;

The studios continue to drop new titles with release dates 20 days after her passing, it makes me ill. I don't know what the procedure is in the industry when this happens but, in the last 4 years I've only seen 2 or 3 cases of this happening. Maybe most of them go under the radar, retired actresses and so on and we never know.

Don't worry, the theme fits perfectly because she was a beloved actress in the VR world. I am still in shock, too. She was so young...

There is an article posted on Zenra's blog talking abot her death, criticizing the same as you: that studios are going to keep releasing titles after her death.

It's inevitable to feel a bit guilty, after all we are consumers of her work. The problem is that we don't know what's behind those smiles. If the girls are in JAV because they see no other way to win money, or because they want to make a quick buck and it's not a moral problem for them. I always think they are pretty and young, they could work as waitresses, sales clerks, even models. So it seems that going to JAV is something they do voluntarily. But we don't know the pressures they are under.

Many of them seem to like it, or tolerate it, they look happy and have been in the industry for many years. We don't know if the tragedy of Nanami is a personal issue or that She hadn't received help, or hadn't accepted it.

Nanami always seemed distant, but I thought it was because of her shyness. I don't know if I'll actually get to watch any of her VRs again, honestly. In POV VR is much more difficult than in flat.

I am worried that the same thing could happen to Kudou Rara / Itou Haru, she has been very thin for a few months. I don't plan to buy o download anything of her until she fully recovers. May she retire temporarily or permanently, but let's not have another tragedy....

I guess you are right, we don't really know anything really besides what we see. And yes, I'm worried about her too, even more so now.

I am leaning towards the cause being more related to long term mental health issues, rather then her just being in AV. Pobably prior to AV Im guessing. I'm sure it only made it worse though for sure. Look at this article and that wierd picture. Maybe she entered AV to be able to afford changing her body so much.

I know everyone feels differently about these things, but I would hold off on deleting her VR stuff if you are contemplating it. Maybe you end up looking differently at it later on.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not telling you what to do or anything, just In my experience VR is hard to reaquire compared to regulare vids. Personally I might regret such a decision later on. What's a few gigs on a NAS or an HD these days anyway right?

Side note;

The rules around AV in general got stronger last year or two. I think the studios will come to their senses eventually, and her titles to be completely gone from commercial sites not long from now. Titles with multiple active actresses will remain aswell as physical copies in stores though. There is a 3 year rule where an actress can decide to have all her work removed from commercial sale too. I hope it ends well in her case.
