I support doing different things in VR, where there are too many clones and most movies are too similar. I had always liked the weird SOD titles, but for the last year or two they have been too weird, not immersive, with too much clothes, or they use third rate actresses.

I've watched the trailer, and this one at least looks immersive, with Yazawa Receive behind it.

Actually, I think its less the nurse theme and more of the backdrop. the hospital setting is a bit off-putting.

I have never been able to see where eroticism is in a place of sickness and death, such as a hospital. All my memories of these places are bad, I don't see how anyone can get turned on at a hospital.

True I'm aware that in that sense I'm the outlier here. Most people on Akiba are like you and have joined this forum a long time ago (at least they are here much longer than me) and so they must have arrived to this place for very different reasons and JAV has not enough POV content that it could spark much interest. I could also add nothing to discussions like 'the girls in JAV are not what they used to be compared to 10 or 20 years ago' or to almost any discussion on 2d topics. In other words your interest in JAV was great enough to join/seek out this forum when VR wasn't even a thing. But at last you all in here came to your senses

Ok, I'm intrigued, tell me more. I have not watched western VR in month and from that studio nothing in 2024. But if some studio finally figures out how VR works I would totally give it another try. I'm aware that VRSpy is somewhat capable, they have a decent VR with Melody Marks from last year, it's called Hynosis and from the angles they use it's a 7/10 I would say which means it's a million times better than most other western VR. That combined with the picture quality and I would say it's actually pretty good. But they seemed very inconsistent. How is their content from 2024?

I liked Aika Yumeno, I wouldn't mind if she came back. But I bet if it's new, it's a title she shot before she left, and they hadn't released yet.

Really? Is that normal that they withhold a release for that long? That's crazy to me. I always thought that studios try to release a movies as soon as possible.

Seems to me that this is a Japanese thing for some reason. The nurse theme exists outside of JAV but not to this extent. But no idea, so far I wasn't inside a Japanese hospital. Maybe all the doctors and nurses there are young and attractive and run around in short skirts and flirt with the patience and no one ever dies in these hospitals. Who knows?

For me VRSpy is the most immersive western VR studio, but on the JAV VR scale, it barely makes 7/10, as you say.

Director Alex Nash (he films all VRSpy movies) is the one who place the camera closer, and his movies have some kissing, something almost non-existent in western VR. He also does good face-to-face missionaries, copying many angles from Japanese VRs:



But he fails in the face to face cowgirls, he always place the camera at the level of the tits, not the face as in JAV:




His movies have a big problem for me, I see the girls like giants, they look like NBA players. I don't like the way he adjusts the IPD to shoot.

As I say, I watch some of his movies if they shoot with an actress I like, but I don't remember anything too remarkable. 7/10, as you say. They are the only western VR movies I watch. The rest is just watching 3D TV.

On the contrary. The movies go through a review process and with the new Japanese law, a few months have to pass so that if the actress regrets it, she can ask that the movie not be marketed.

On average all JAV VR movies take about 6 months to be released, from the time they are shot.

It is possible. It's true that some of his recent work, even with the camera angles I like, has bored me. He's been shooting a lot of VR movies for many years, for virtually every studio. It's possible that he's already saturated, or tired of doing the same thing.

I think Alex Nash may have predated Yazawa Receive in getting to the close up missionary position shot. Nash's first video with the tight shot came out August 2020 while Yazawa SOD new angle video came out in December.

I agree, I too think Alex Nash has copied a lot of things from Yazawa Receive. He uses a lot of camera shots that Yazawa has used before. But it's not just him, many Japanese directors have also copied the new camera angles that Yazawa has invented... Fortunately...

It's the same for me, but since I review all the new releases that come out, instead of looking for old titles I turn to my collection.

The last few months for me have been a drought. The big studios have released fewer and fewer titles, with more chothes and less interest for me. Plus my favorite freelance actresses who shot for various studios, such as Minase Akari, Kisaki Nana, Suehiro Jun and others, have been replaced by other actresses who I find unattractive, and who repeat themselves over and over again. I'm watching less new releases than ever.

Hayashi Mana and Kasagi Ichika were great, although I haven't watched any movie of the first one and only one of the second, because I didn't like the few VR titles they filmed. A real pity.
