Thanks for replying. I meant the movie title inside the metadata. I'm assuming the metadata is the data inside the NFO file.

Ah, okay. Well, so no, there's no functionality like that. The move / rename functionality is strictly about folder and filename organization.
The only place you can't really do that is the title in the detail page. Is that what you're looking for? An option similar to "Show ID" in the browser view?
Actually, never mind this request. I've been using Emby to manage my collection, I used JavLuv to organize some new files for the first time. But I couldn't search in Emby with the DVD ID for the files, so I thought that it's because of the title in the meta data have the DVD ID. I've tried the move/rename again and this time it works. So I think it was a configuration on my end that it didn't work. Thanks for your help!
I think I found some bug about the amount of actresses to be read in JavLuv, when I try to open a movie, I have this error:
Then, I look in the nfo file and I see that there are many actresses listed there, so I tried to remove all except one actress. The movie is showing normally after doing rescan files. I think it's because of the amount of the actresses are too many. Can you check this?
One more thing, I scan a new movie let's say it is ABW-358. When I scan the movie, the cover is not available only showing this image:
I tried to find the original cover and import it to the JavLuv. The result is that the cover only shows in the browser view only, when I open the detail view, the cover is still showing the same image of "Now Printing". I have tried delete metadata, delete cover, copy paste cover manually, regenerate metadata and rescan files but with no result. Can you advise me how to fix this?

Just to confirm, are you running the latest version of JavLuv (1.1.28)? This looks sort of like an issue I fixed quite a while back, at least based on the call stack you showed. Anyhow, there should be no limit on the number of actresses allowed. I have a movie with dozens of actresses, and there's no problem. If you're running the latest version, I'll take another look and see if I can figure out what's causing that crash.
There are sometimes issues with replacing cover files, which I think may have to do with the cache file not being replace. I'll have to look into that. The most reliable method seems to be Import Cover Image, and selecting the image file to replace it with.
Yeah, I just use the new version this morning and scan the new movie. Sorry, maybe my explaination is not clear. What I mean about the actresses here is in the movie detail, not the Actresses browser Tab. I checked, the error only happen when I open the 1 specific movie only, I attached the metadata (original result from scan). So I thought that something is wrong with the nfo file. And as I said before, I removed the actresses list (in that nfo file) and I can open the movie detail normally.
Regarding the cover image, I tried to open the cached image in the thumbnail JavLuv folder. Then I delete the picture of that Now Printing, close the app and rescan the files. The cover is changed to the correct one which I import. So I that's how I solve it, maybe you can do some fix later about it with this information.
Yeah, I'll take a look. I haven't seen any issues with large numbers of actress' names. For example, one of my movies has this ridiculously huge actress list (and that's just about half of them):

I think I found out the reason why my Javluv app crashed everytime I open my specific movie. It was because of 1 of the actress info. I did this check by writing one by one the actresses mentioned in the movie manually until I got a crash at a certain input of an actress. When I go to the Actress Browser Tab, I just realized that the Tab itself is crashing without any info, just mentioning from windows that the app has stopped working. I didn't realize this until now, it was working before the last scan. So then I go to the actress xml, checked the info on that specified actress and try to change the image index from 1 to 0.
This is just an information from me, I hope this is usefull for the improvement of the app.
I restart the app, the Actress Browser Tab is working normal again. Then I manually add the actress to the movie mentioned before, and it worked normally without any error. I check the actress and found that the image of the actress only 1 available. I don't know why that happened, maybe the actress had 2 image to select and I select the second one. But then there is an update on the actress and the second image is deleted. That's my thought, but I don't know.
This is just an information from me, I hope this is usefull for the improvement of the app.

Ive just tried that on mine as I have it. WoW. That is a lot of actresses. I had to scroll a fair few times but all seem to be showing.

I'm on the latest, v3.2.7. The v2 -> v3 upgrade has been pretty rocky in terms of stability, but Topaz has been pretty consistent with regular bug-fixes, so it's finally getting relatively usable.
Also, not sure why I didn't think of it before, but I've also started changing my upscales to 60fps as well. I don't seem to notice the difference as much as some people, but I do think it further improves the upscale quality a bit, so why not.
P.S. Thx also for JavLuv error reports everyone. Will dig into this and see what I can when I get a chance.

Hey TmpGuy--a nice feature for JavLuv would be to find duplicates and then have the ability to choose which one to keep while deleting the other. What do you think?
Agreed, that needs some improving. Depending on options, JavLuv should either give you an error or pop up a replacement confirmation dialog when it notices a duplicate. In terms of the duplicate error, I'd like to revisit that so it's clearer what is happening. And I'd like to create a custom "overwrite" dialog that more clearly shows the differences between the two movies, so you can choose to replace the current movie with the new one.
Yeah Ive been doing FPS upscales a while. Used to do them with vids that were 15 to 30 back in the day or Variable frame rate. I have very sensitive eyes to fps changes and I even convert movies to 60 before I watch them now.
But let me just say that Topaz is slow on mine. Do movies upscaled from say 640x480 to 1080p as it looks better than 2xrez but doing 60 for me from topaz is just really slow but it produces great results. I split my movies to 10 min segments then do each one and re-assemble.
I use Hybrid to then do the 60 FPS because the Topaz method is to slow on my 5 year old GPU. Getting another when the prices stabilise better.
Hybrid is free and easy to use and does an excellent job but re-encoding twice is a pain because of loss of definition we just added but It does work and faster but I only do the old movies I love as its a little time consuming. In the future, it will be glorious
I setting up a second comp with 2 1070ti's in so that can crunch at them.
Im doing VICD-028 upscale atm and when its done ill upload it.

In my situation at the moment, I cant use the feature because I have sometimes a few version like my 60fps versions and upscales and so if Javluv only assesses file size then ofc it would delete my original for the bigger version. I wouldn't really use the feature but just thought I would point that one out.
Yeah, JavLuv doesn't replace anything automatically for exactly that reason. As for me, I store off the originals elsewhere on my drive, and only keep the best version in my normal collection. I really only want to view my upscales, but like to keep the original in case technology improves and I can make a better version, etc.
Actually, you can tell JavLuv to recognize a specific pattern like "(original)" or something (this is in the Settings), and it'll classify that as an "extra" movie. That feature is mostly used for trailers, behind-the-scenes or outtakes, etc. It won't show up to play, but JavLuv will keep track of those files.
I did some tests and Topaz AI @60fps is 1000% better than the Hybrids method as the AI obviously compensates better than just frame interpolation. Ive tried even the best motion precision of x264 and you can still see ghosting on older movies like this which is awful but Topaz AI is as close to legit 60 that ive seen from a non 60 source. Cant wait till it improves. I may throw my 2 1070ti's in and a 2080 super. You can mix and match even vendors so it says on the site. My MB has 3 x16 slots so should work fine.

Note: those were before I started increasing frame rate, so if 60fps is important to you, you might want to try your hand at upscaling the original. But yeah, other than that, I thought those came out pretty good.
Just for fun, try Topaz AI's slow motion feature to see just how remarkably good their interpolation algorithms are. You can often slow down a movie to a fairly small percentage of the original speed with quite good results.
