Good point, normally I am no fan of Americanized Asian beauty. But indeed JULIA's distinctive face is quite US-friendly, basically a bit un-Japanese.

Slightly non-sequitor, we were watching Victoria Secret show and it's in Asia for the first time and of course Asian models (angels) get more attention (not that Asian looks were completely new to VS shows). BTW, I think globalization is to the extent that even rural Westerners should now recognize that Asians aren't just Japanese and Filipinos. So when I said Asian models in VS, I meant more specifically CJK-type models. So the point is that the CJK-type models in VS are even more pale-skinned than most of the white models, by quite a few degrees.

So evidently the CJK models are selected to appeal to CJK customers, who prefer "noble" pale skin, and the white models are selected to appeal to white customers (especially VS customers base are more coastal) who likes "healthy" tan skin.

It's curious to speculate how JULIA's un-Japanese face help or hurt her sales/ranking in Japan. I think her popularity in China/Taiwan/HK is higher than in Japan. I mean the side point is there's difference between Japan market and Greater China market and USA market.

I heard she said in an interview it help her get famous because there was no one with look similar to her. She think her face is unique, but nowadays I'm seeing dark circles around her eyes. Well thats what I mean her face could be a limiting factor. She gain some fans in certain fringe markets but lose more in the primary domestic market.

So MIDE-495 finally finally dropped. Normally I don't pay any attention to vids before release. But this one... eh... I chanced upon the cover and was fed the wrong release date (early by a whole month) so I was really losing my cool waiting for the drop... FINALLY


So I think I was right to call it a continuation (but crossed from SOD to Moodyz) of the series. And there was some "upgrade" and a slight different treatment due to change of director/producer.

The "upgrade" is a more melodramatic backstory. JULIA is a one-woman business now (owner and janitor), after a too-brief intro showing Julia in very skimpy outfit cleaning the bathhouse (in Aimi's version, the cleaning scene was longer and excellent warm-up for fapping) we see Julia frowning over the accounting book. Then she went over to a shrine of a man, either her late father or (much more likely) late husband. She makes a little prayer, I guess something along the line, "I promise to take care of this business which is the most precious important thing you left me".

Then she chance upon an old book in the corridor with the title "History of Sento (bathhouse) ~ Book of Tiger", in it she read that in the Edo period, some Sento offers "direct" or "indirect" something something enhanced service to bathers. So that's it, she will revive the old traditions to turn the business around from failure!

I do appreciate these set-ups scenes, despite it doesn't directly contribute to fapping. A little frown, small gestures and dialog consisting of sentences and multi-syllable words. Notice she's wearing very casual and very little. Thin see-thru t-shirt and hot hot pants at home is common enough. But she even unbuttons and pull the zipper 1/4 way down, showing just a tiny bit of panty. It is fappable? Totally not. Well ok not totally, but it's at best 5% fappable (and my nuts were ready to burst from waiting a month for this vid). A hand-written sign saying "New Service - 1000 Yens" is posted, the first customer who tries it is now the first sex scene. The idea is that Julia didn't start out to convert a family friendly (in real world, bathhouse are clean businesses) establishment to a whorehouse. So she was figuring it out starting modest and with new transactions (each sex scene) gradually upgrade her services (and income). I get a huge kick it costs only 1000 Yens (barely more than a happy meal) for what turns out to be a awesome washing and handjob. Unfortunately the director wants to establish this escalating plotline chose to make Julia wears way-too-much cloths for this scene. No tits, ass, no blowjob. Disappointing.

The following scenes finally we get some good fappable scenes. I just want to highlight the interesting bits. The charm of the series isn't in hardcore sex, the title (and the setup scenes) advertise three (or more) different levels of service, so obviously some customers will only pay for a cheaper service, titfuck or blowjob. So some scenes you don't get the full service. That's a small negative for sure. But the point is to emulate a real world business. So one thing I got a huge kick out of, is seen in the third pic above. Customers are just discovering the new offerings and saw one such service (a blow job) being provided. So she interrupt her sucking to explain the new service. I always enjoy that... talking scenes with some nudity and sex. And customers and Julia discuss or negotiate the terms of transaction. E.g. a customer requesting, and Julia hesitated then agreed to, take off her last piece of garment (panty) to give the customer a wash.

I also dug into the title and text a little, and got myself some geeky enjoyment. E.g. I think I figured out the phrase "秘壺おちんぽ清浄" the third (top price point) service being offer: "washing of penis using a secret vase". What is the secret vase???

Oh absolutely. She and most JAV idols won't survive in the US industry. Also I won't debate you she's top 5 hottie in JAV. I do love her, but her face is definitely not in top-5 or top-10.

I AM saying she's pretty competitive if you ignore the "performance" factor.
