Nowadays, most featured new titles (censored) of the top stars will get the AI-decensoring treatment within a few days, couple weeks at most. So there are at least 10s of new decensored titles coming out each week but a real leak is coming out less than one a year. Literally the chance of any *rumored* turning out to be real is less than 1%, more like... 0.1% even.

It's the Japanese unique quirk, way back in 60s? someone decided to legalize porn but draw a line of morality at genitals, which is perfectly reasonable. But the quirk is as long as mosaic is applied to genitals, then every other nasty perversion is allowed. So the zeitgeist evolved that natural sex scene is more shameful than explosive enemas.

Is it really that dramatic? An industry that you say is "only a tiny fraction of the public", whom I believe are also the fraction that consumes the materials, would "treat" performers as "sub-human slut". This does not make sense to me especially when mainstream performers have gone uncensored in those Dreamroom production sites. Are they all treated terribly when they have done uncensored?
