Yeah, I've noticed that most (all?) of Crystal Eizou's lesbian movies seem to feature three or more women. I've enjoyed some of the Triple Lesbian series, and have some of the others you listed as well.

The Crystal Eizou Tomahawk releases (TMHK) are all 3p/4p. Pretty sure I have most if not all of them in HD/FHD.

The Titicaca ones are all 1v1 though.

This is now my favorite lesbian JAV movie.

Probably the most important thing to me in lesbian porn is the kissing and this has the best girl/girl kissing I've seen in JAV.

In the first scene Yui puts Karen against the wall and they just make out for like 15 minutes straight. The kissing here is genuinely erotic; in most other videos you'll see girls doing the silly tongue flicking crap at each other or the kissing is extremely surface level with no deepness or eroticism or they are making excessive noises (or all of these things at once).

I guess the best way I can put it is that in most scenes, the action between the girls is so over-the-top and fake where it's like they're screaming "look I'm such a lesbian and I'm doing hot lesbian things!!" whereas here you can believe that this is how they would actually make out if there were no cameras around and they were kissing each other for real. I could actually believe that they were truly turned on and enjoying each other here.

If anyone has any recommendations for scenes with eroticism like this one, please do let me know This one is probably like an 8/10 for me, as there is definitely room for more passion, wetness, deepness. The performance here was a little too soft and sweet to be S-tier. But I just don't know if anything better for me exists in JAV.

Going back through this year's releases I realized that this turned out to be a banner year. Definitely stronger than 2022. I'm honestly surprised at how much good stuff we got in 2023 and it took this exercise to truly realize that.



Yeah, I have to agree that many of my favorite movies are from roughly 2010-2016. I liked the actresses, the outfits and hair, the studios and the filming styles of that era.

There are a lot of defunct studios (or at least ones that have since dropped most girl-girl content) from that era that I loved: Janes (JNS), Cross, Style-Art, Lady x Lady, Anna & Hanako.

Nothing new here. I'm sure everyone's heard all this from me before.



Here's my list, beginning with a two-way tie for first place:

My Top Ten

This January release stood out as my co-favorite of the year and took me completely by surprise. Slow and sensual when it needed to be with sweet and seductive kissing. The build up and foreplay here goes a long way for my taste. Energetic tribbing - including my favorite... mish! - along with solid strap-on action. Loved the cute outfits and lingerie. It was the right balance of twee and passion for me.

Finally, something breaks up the Bibian dominance. I love a good POV title and this one did not disappoint. Maybe not quite as good as EVIS-427 from 2022 but I could definitely use more than one of these a year.

When Ebisu-san is on, it's really fucking on. This is the go to label for body part fetishism whether it be tongues, noses, armpits, breasts or feet. In this case it was toes and feet and I'm all in on this.

Studio of the Year

Without a shadow of a doubt it was Bibian with my top four all from them and making up six of my top ten... and honorable mentions besides.

Disappointing that Lezule only appears in my comps section and U&K doesn't feature at all. Not to say that there weren't any excellent releases from those two but Bibian just killed it last year... and I've been a little critical of that studio in the past.

Bibian really are smashing it with top notch production values, sets, costumes and a big focus on variety both in terms of age and body type of performers as well as content.

Thanks for posting! Once again I am overwhelmed by the sheer amount of output we get everywhere, as I have only seen 3 of your top 10 movies, and only one shared among our top lists (BBAN-415). BBAN-447 and BBAN-457 were the others ones but they didn't make my list. I quite liked BBAN-447 though, the blue maid outfit scene was my favorite.

And I somehow totally forgot about BBAN-439, which is odd because I'm really fond of the idol premise. I have BBAN-387 on my watch-soon list because of the idol theme, I guess I need to add BBAN-439 as well.

I'm surprised you didn't know them by name beforehand, especially since you watched numerous movies with them. A bit curious now; when you see them in a movie again, did you just go "oh, it's that girl again"? I guess I put a lot of emphasis on knowing names of actresses in movies I'm watching and knowing who's who, now that I think about it. But anyways, good picks!

This movie by SUN is directed by Rena Aoi. While I'm sad she retired as a performer, she's been directing some fantastic lesbian titles since then, so I hope she continues. Mao is great in this one, as she pairs well with the younger Natsu for a wet and wild performance. There are some amazing scenes of them together in and out of the hot springs. Rena isn't concerned about breaking the fourth wall, and it's cute that Natsu still gets embarassed when the camera is in her face. It's a fun, sexy performance.


Lesbian Studio of the Year

Das!, Dandy, and Natural High have all produced some great movies this year, but Bibian is the clear winner due to the volume of great titles with high production values. They typically create four new movies per month, occasionally with a compilation movie, with a fairly wide range of subject matter. Invariable, one or two of their monthly movies really catch my eye, even if the others aren't too my particular taste.

This is certainly not universal among studios. Serebu No Tomo, for example, often just throws two or more actresses together in an unappealing studio set with black cloth-covered walls and a mattress or bed thrown in the center of the space. A minimalist production might have some appeal, but I certainly appreciate a well designed set that doesn't look like a basement hangout.

I'm not sure what's going on with Lez Re!, but they seemed to have a disappointing 2023.

Das! is probably my runner-up studio. The released a fairly small number of lesbian titles, but they were all excellent. Quality over quantity works for me.

Lesbian Actress of the Year

I think I'm going to go with Mao Hamasaki. She turned 30 late last year, but she's still smoking like the best of them. She always brings a huge amount of evergy to her performances, so you know a movie with her will never be dull.

My runner up is Jun Suehiro, someone relatively unknown to me previously, because she only started starring in lesbian movies a couple of years ago, at age 28. Since then, she's starred in seven lesbian movies, five in 2023. Every movie is a 4 1/2 star or better, with her 2022 debut movie a 5 star. Let's see if she can keep that streak going.

Some of my favorite actresses (Azusa Misaki, Aoi Kururugi, Yui Hatano, Hibiki Otsuki, Miki Sunohara) had reasonable good years, but didn't star in any outstanding, or enough lesbian titles.

Honorable Mentions

How good a year was it for lesbian titles last year? Damn good I'd say, at least for me. While there were just a handful of perfect 5-star rated movies, that's because I'm somewhat particular about handing out perfect ratings. On the other hand, there were a huge number of 4 1/2 star movies. Frankly, the line between these are pretty thin, often coming down to a simple preference of topic, a fetish I enjoy, a particularly memorable scene, or an actress I know and appreciate. Others might very well rate some of these among the best of the year, and I'd be hard pressed to disagree with them.

Yay another post! We share 2 movies in the top lists. I've still to watch a Rena Aoi directed movie My main takeaway though is jesus you've watched a lot of movies lol. Bit envious.

Jun Suehiro is a nice pick, really liked her in the two movies I've seen her in, BBAN-428 and NHDTB-860. I spotted her in the upcoming BBAN-477, which I'm really looking forward to because it's a Bibian orgy movie (well, if you count 5P as orgy, which I do)! They haven't done one of those is ages.

I didn't think about doing studio of the year, that's a good idea! I agree with both of you in that Bibian wins it. They output of quality is just simply unmatched. I would say 2nd place goes to Natural High. they are pretty consistent with about 1 movie per month and they just always seem to be great or very good. Third place is Dandy. Very few movies, but very high quality. I wish they would produce more.

Nice, you should post those to the Hunter thread. Hunter doesn't produce a lot of lesbian titles, but the ones they do make seem to be pretty good on average.

With the sad asterisk that Hunter hasn't made a pure lesbian movie since 2015...
