Am I missing something? What HAS happened to S1S1?? As a AV fan I don't like them much. They are boring. But isn't boring good for the actresses? Other studios delight the fans by orgy, gangbang, S&M, enema, fan-fest, ugly smelly homeless guys, old guys, IR, r***s, tentacle porn, candle wax, gokkun, and worse. S1S1 rarely do those things... scanning the last 100 covers, only a few restrained-fuck vids (guess is any girl can opt out of those). Otherwise, boring boring, comfortably predictable work for the girl. Unless Tsujimoto face a reduction of work and money opportunity at the prestigious and bigger studio, I don't know any evidence she is put in a worse situation than TEAM (which is BTW almost as boring as S1S1).
Ok, maybe she's not happy, maybe she does feel betrayed. But should she feel that way? Japan is never a perfectly free society anyway, any worker (including AV idols) are subject to management and manipulation and exploitation by the industry or company(s). I know sometimes/often it's unfair, but it is the norm in Japan. Also, sometimes/often it works out quite well for both the exploiter and the exploited too. After this challenge and adaptation, it's quite possible (hopeful) An Tsujimoto will end up more successful/happy than now.
I think S1S1 isn't evil nor stupid. They sign a lot of super hot girls and top stars, I don't think they are necessarily touchy-feely-do-goodies boy scouts. But I don't they maintain this position in the industry by killing the goose that lay eggs, even if this goose's eggs may not be pure gold. I just don't see S1 signs An for a quick buck (like how? anal? uncensored??) and then toss her in the sewage.
I too would like An to go freelance, after Aimi Yoshikawa (debuted in SOD, then TEAM, then S1S1) becomes a freelance top star. But if she's yapping about quitting even before spending one day at S1S1, how can she survive in the wild?
