No more children, please!

I always prefer not to close threads unless they are way beyond rescue.

This topic is relevant to the site, so I thinkn discussion should remain open. Hopefully minus the hostility...

:exhausted:

Understood.

Thanks for moving it to a more appropriate section, though. :bow-pray:

In my point of view, it better to so see young children posing to show their "stuff" than to see them "being killed" in some so-called wholesome movies! Why not bark on front of some "higher budgeted" production studios than in this site!:puzzled:

Technically Junior Idols are not child porn in Japan. However, different countries have different laws. Possessing junior idol material in the US is a legal gray area. You can be arrested and charged under child pornography laws for possessing junior idol material. Whether you are convicted depends on your state and a jury. I would not risk junior idol material if I was an American or European.

Actually the only european country that you will likely get done for Junior idol stuff is the UK and then it depends on the vid. As far as I know as long as the vid does not focus on the pubic area you should be ok. But I'm not a UK legal expert so do be carefull. As more and more countires are outlawing stuff likes this on a ongoing basis.

So maybe ten years from now, this space in time in which we, who enjoy the beauty of U15 may refer this period as, "The good old days".
Tis' a sad thought.... :puzzled:

I have to agree with the OP that children are a bit meh... Much prefer watching idol videos of preteen and up.

:shower:

That would be because there is a Junior Idol section here which contains pictures and videos of children under the age of 16.

I don't know how you came to this conclusion considering that most, if not all, of the material in that section comes from Japan which you can legally buy in Japan. Since you know that some posters continue to post pictures and video it sounds like you visit that section on a normal basis. Pardon me if I sound harsh but if that section offends you so much then stop browsing that part of the forum or change your forum settings to make the Jr Idol Club Forum invisible.

User CP -> Edit Options (Go to the very bottom of this page where it says 'Forums to Exclude from View' and select the 'Jr Idol Club Forum' then click on Save Changes)

If neither of those options work for you then I'd suggest that you find another forum to browse.

I think it's quite likely that when someone uses the phrase "clearly children" they're not talking about "under the age of 16". Shaving about 5 years or so off that would probably be a more accurate reflection of the nature of the complaint. The phrase "clearly children" quite clearly suggests that what was being referred to was prepubescent children, which is a very different thing than "under the age of 16".

Then the complaint is badly phrased in such a manner as to be easily misunderstood. The complaint(s) should specify a ban on U12 models. Not that this complaint makes any more sense to me but at least it would be more specific. There are reasons that this material is legal in Japan: it is reasonably tasteful, often artisticly presented, there is no nudity, there is no sex or sexual acts, the studios are monitored for violations and the models are offered legal protection from any abuse.

Of course everyone is entitled to their opinion on the subject and I respect that. I do think the Japanese government should be given a little respect here though as from a legal standpoint they have certainly taken the time to dot their i's and cross their t's on this. The clear implication that Japan is allowing any wrong doing here is, IMO, clearly judgemental.

By the way things are going at the moment in 5 years or less you will be called a pedo if you fancy any female under 21 at all or if you are not with in 2 years of age of the woman you fancy :puzzled:

I would like to comment, if I may, with the moderators' indulgence...

To everyone who thinks/wants/insists that "kiddie porn" should be removed from this site, I totally agree with you. Kiddie porn DEFINITELY has no place in this forum, or anywhere for that matter.

But then again, "kiddie porn", per se, is NOT in this forum as far as I know. What you are referring to as "kiddie porn" is not classifiable as such, at least in its country of origin. Why do you say it's "kiddie porn"? Because there are minors filmed and photographed in swimsuits and tights?

What about the National Geographic Channel? They sometimes show documentaries with women and children from those far-flung countries, outbacks and boondocks, BUTT NAKED, so is that "kiddie porn"? No, because its part of their culture; their way of life.

Further, it's not like you are being FORCED to look at whatever's causing you discomfort. As what the moderators have suggested, you can block off the topics you don't want to see. Now, if blocking of those topics isn't enough for you and you feel that you can't stand being in the company of people who don't share the same views as you do, then leave those people and go find some other place that's to your liking. Live and let live.

The moderators already said decisively that that topic is here to stay. Regardless of whatever points of view, justifications, beliefs, flashes of brilliance, or arguments you might have, I don't think you're part of the decision making loop in this forum. So until you are, I would suggest you just go with the flow.

It's THEIR site, it's THEIR forum, it's THEIR topic, so therefore, it's THEIR rules.

And if you don't like it, well, you managed to sign up by yourself. I guess you can find you way out too.

As for me, I'll just keep doing what I enjoy doing here...

Thank you, everyone, for bearing with my long speech... Back to browsing now...

I just noticed the the one who started this thread is in fact his first post. I rarely see this kind of activity at akiba-online, when we get people making these type of remarks, we've got a breach in our network. Stay away from the Jr Idol section if it offends you, simple as that, this is Japan not America.

I see what you mean and I agree with what you're saying. My post was more of a knee-jerk reaction to the OP (the caps tend to get me going :notagain:).

I actually really like this site, but upon reflection, even though I really have nothing to do with that particular section, could someone tell me the means in which to delete my account?

I really, honestly don't feel comfortable having an account here anymore upon reflecting on this. Nothing personal, it really isn't, I just would really rather not be affiliated if this site ends up going down in flames >.> :puzzled:

You can't delete your account and we don't delete them either. Just log out and stop visiting. If you want we can ban you and delete your only post.

You know, its very entertaining to me that banning and deleting my only posts is actually a favor. :byebye:

If you could that'd be excellent. Thanks by the way

Two years here and your a zero contributor..and zero Thanks except for the one in this post.
:joker: Buh Buy!

I must be missing something. What is it exactly that leads people to believe that a site that's existed in pretty much the same form for the past 4 years will go down in flames for remaining the same? :puzzled:

Do a whois look up for cryin' out loud. Last I checked, this site used a US host. If anything totally "off" the level was going on, I'd imagine that something would've been done by now. If anything, it seems like the more recent content posted in the JI section is actually much less racy than things posted several years ago.

I wouldn't recommend parading around showcasing your downloads, but that's just common sense that extends to ANYTHING you download without paying for. If, for some reason, this site did, as was said, go down in flames it would probably be due to some kind of copyright issue and not because an issue with the content itself.

At any rate, like Aqua2213 said, "Buh Bye!". If someone doesn't want to participate and wants to leave, far be it from us to stop them. :dunno: I hope you can find a forum or board more suited to your tastes.

Becoming a mother or father at 11 years of age is brutal. The age of consent being 18+ is fine by me. People should be able to raise and carefour the children they produce.
