Photos from Japan

One day I will conquer Mt. Fuji..... and its women.

The vast majority of Mt. Fuji's female climbers are old women who climb it for health.. you're more than welcome to'em.

Someone just asked me on another forum how long it took to climb... here's my answer.

We arrived at about 7:30pm via bus at the bottom of the mountain and had to hang out there for an hour to acclimate to the already thinning air. We started up about 8:20 or so and got to the top around 6:30-7am. Not in time for the sunrise, but in time to FINALLY get warmed up a little bit via the sun. It's FFFFing COLD up there, let me tell you. Some said the toughest part was going down... FFFF THAT, the toughest part -IS- going up. Going down you get a nice view of everything and it looks beautiful... going up is in the dark, you need to spelunk up rocks and other shit.. it's not just a combed path in the least. There's some portions that people have made into 'steps' (like stairs) but those are few and far between.

.

night climbing/hiking? wow! isnt that dangerous? how long was your breaks or naps during the climb. man il be the weakest among the group when i plan to hike fuji.

gotta try the climbup myself next time i get there (...and then i'll be too lazy to even think about it, as usual)!

@aquamarine did you ever post any shoots from Aokigahara?

I haven`t been online for a while, thank you for wonderful photos <3 whenever I see mt fuji I can`t help but think of Heigo Kurosawa <3

I'm off to Japan in a few days so hopefully will capture many more photos :D Any tips on where to go? Already been to Shibuya crossing (though not many photos so may return there), Akihabara (did loads of photos theres) plus a lot in the parks...

Tips tips.. jeeze... umm... come to Japan. Number one tip.
check out Yoyogi park on a Sunday afternoon. Go to Hakone to see the temples, very nice place. Check out the beach at Kaihim-Makuhari.

Haha, well number one tip has been done many times... this is trip number five I think, so all well and good. Only 2nd one to Tokyo though.
Spent time in Yoyogi Park last summer... was quite nice, though did see a girl practicing with a hula hoop in her bikini in the park, then some bearded foreigner came and tried to chat her up... culminated with cops rocking up and ushering them along :p

Hakone I'm keen on, may try get down there one day while the missus is working. Never heard of Kaihim Makuhari so will look that up, cheers :)
