Since most Japan girls are hot and shapely, Why are people losing interest in sex?

I've seen articles in the web that talk about how people(guys) in japan are losing interest in sex and are becoming Herbivores or whatever. And about the fact they're not marrying much and the population may go down .

My question is , being that Japan is full of Hot/Sexy/ OR at least Average slim girls...How come Japanese guys are not having sex?

Been living in Japan for a few years now. Most of the guys here just dont have the balls to talk to women. Some of them won't even talk to them unless they're forced.

I agree with soul242, that goes for the locals and foreigners alike. I lived in a guest-house for a while that had roughly 40 other people living there, mostly male (maybe 7 women total). Out of all of those guys, I know of 6 that had girlfriends. Most of the others on their days off were content to sit around the smoking-room (social room), drinking with other guys, complaining about how they were single and that was it. Wouldn't go out to meet women, wouldn't go out and be social, just sit around, smoke and drink alone.

When I had managed to set up a double-date with one of them (introduced him to a lady-friend of mine), at the very last minute he cancelled saying he just wasn't up for it and wanted to stay at home and play games on his computer. Wowwwwww....

Yeah. Most guys in Japan aren't real go getters. But at the same time, once you're in Japan (like any other asian country), you'll notice there's a lot of pretty girls and a lot of....not so pretty ones.

Actually, because Japanese are on average a lot slimmer; you could definitely say there are a higher ration of attractive females to places like the UK (where so many of us are overweight) if you are using that as a measure of attraction. Of course personal preference plays a big role as I know many people who don't really find east asian women anything special.

I cant agree with you more, Japanese women aren't particularly beautiful, they do have better figures if you like slim women. I have a Japanese wife and have had a few girlfriends, when I was single. some were very nicely demanding and some less so. Like any country it differs.

however the hours most people work in Japan seriously affects socialising and everything that goes with it.

anyone with a soupcon of commonsense would realise it is a 2 way street and act accordingly...
but commonsense is extinct , the guys think with their dicks, the girls care only for the $$$$ and the drugs and all the gimmedats they can get...

That group in the guest-house you've met is just minority, its also a cultural thing that people in here used to keep a relationship low key. Most of the Japanese guys I know are not interest in video games(just like most East Asian males are not interest in European white and dark looking women), despite how the media expand the okaku problem.

I know a Japanese friend who always complain he doesn't have a gf, but in fact he has a stable and beautiful gf in Tokyo but still chase and sleep with different girls all the time in his room. Many men are declaring they're single in order to meet and shag more women, and vice versa, this is very popular in Asian societies.

In one event the guys tend to have drinks smoking with male friends only so they can discuss topics that not good to let a woman to hear, just like girls tend to socialize with a bunch of girls at karaoke, talking about which hot Japanese guy they like and so on. In the second event the guys and girls mix together to have fun.
