Plot: Shamoto is a tropical fish seller, who is at odds with his rather dysfunctional family, namely his rebellious daughter Mitsuko, and his new wife Taeko. 2009年1月14日星期三，夜间9点11分，一辆车正行驶在瓢泼大雨中，坐在车里的是经营热带鱼小商铺的社本信行和他的妻子妙子。女儿美津子在超市偷窃，夫妻俩被店方叫去处理此事。超市店长的朋友村田幸雄帮忙打圆场，事情总算没有闹大。村田是社本的同行，他是大型热带鱼商店“金色亚马逊”的所有者。在回去的路上，村田拉着社本一家去他的店坐坐，村田的妻子爱子也在店里。村田提出让美津子在他店里工作。美津子不喜欢继母妙子，第二天便成了金色亚马逊的住宿店员开始了“新生活”。无论是心结难解的家人还是自说自话的恩人，社本都感到无能为力。然而，社本并不知道，他已经落入了精心谋划的陷阱。几天后，社本因为一桩“能赚钱好事”把村田叫去。村田在那里见到了顾问律师筒井和投资人吉田。吉田虽是高级热带鱼买卖的门外汉，但准备将手头的大笔资金投入此业。在社本的推波助澜下，村田在合同书上签了字。
