Have you read every posts of this thread? Have you tried this ?

Please do not post again until you gave at least one of the posted methods a serious try.

This turned into a good project while stuck at home, even though it takes hours to get one to a point where I'm satisfied with it. Was at least able to put together some subs for two Oppai videos I enjoy - hope these aren't both already completed but even if they were it's a fun way to kill time (and note I don't have the original CN sub for PPPD-670. Could've sworn I kept it but somehow overwrote it).

Hello fellow JAV addicts.
I'm currently working on both an English and Spanish translation for HND-758.
I'm doing it by hand, since I can't trust machine translations.

Another effort I took today... which hasn't gone to any final fruit yet... is trying my Google Translate program on some old Korean softsub. So I pick a Korean srt file that is also in my vid collection but lacking a Chinese sub (soft or hard). ('cus if I have a Chinese sub for it, I wouldn't need machine trans)

So actually one big problem is that I have a few folders of Korean subs with really badly named files. These folders were mostly duplicated but not totally. And bad filenames (random formats and lots of Korean) make them nearly useless. So first I wrote a program to pick out the video code from the randomly formatted filenames to rename all the files to "video-code (n).srt/.smi/.ass" etc. And with consistent format filename now I can merge all folders together and eliminate identical files (but not different files for the same vid). Finally I had well over 2000 files for only 789 different video codes. Anyway that's big progress for just having a easy way to find if any vid is already Korean soft-subbed. Combined with my JAV database it's also easy now to say find all Chinese or Korean softsub (in my collection) by, say, performer.

Anyway, pick a slightly random soft sub for KR->EN machine translation: TEK-072. Feed into my program, got some garbage English that is well, definitely English, but not at all making any sense (so many repeats of the word "hate" make no sense for a MUTEKI vid of Yua Mikami) and then I try to fiddle with a little something and retry the translate. Boom... I broke Google Translate. At least I broke it for myself. I'm pretty sure I've used up the unknown daily limit of Google Translate because the exact same program and data that was working previous no longer works.

So my mini conclusion is: quality is not quite passable, quantity is very very limited, not enough to translate a vid (664 lines) 3 or 4 times.

Wouldn't it be more efficient to build a dictionary of common phrases? Half of the lines are 好舒服 (It feels good) and 舒服吗 (Does it feel good?), so it's not so good an idea to do a request each time they appear.

While wasting time on Youtube I click on Pan Piano again for some piano accompanied by oppai. By habit, check out the sexual harassment, I mean, comments. One Japanese provided this helpful explanation of a fairly common 2-syllable comment:

ふぅ in romanji: fu-u, best translated in English as PHEW. The meaning is: the sound a guy makes after he finishes masturbation. Seems it's obvious to every Japanese, but totally opaque to foreigner.

There used to be a thread for pink Japanese translation. Too lazy to find it now, append to this English translation thread.

Wouldn't it be more efficient to build a dictionary of common phrases? Half of the lines are 好舒服 (It feels good) and 舒服吗 (Does it feel good?), so it's not so good an idea to do a request each time they appear.

It would be, if I were banging out Chinese-to-English sub translation once a week. But I don't know if I even do one a year. So no, it won't be more efficient.

I don't make Chinese subs, I find them on Sukebei, whatever I found I share here. So not likely I can fulfill your needs. And those are not even my fav studios.

I did explain it before. Search for CHN.SRT you find these huge (100GB+)torrents, selectively download the SRT files in each pack. Rename each file from (e.g.) HND801.FHD.srt to HND-801.FHD.srt and zip in a pack. Careful not to overlap previous packs.

I throw all SRT/ASS etc files into a huge folder, separated into languages (EN/CN/KR). Now it's super easy to do a ">dir /s SSNI-7*.*" in DOS shell to find which of SSNI-7xx vids I have subs for and in which languages.

Wrote a program to figure out the video code in KR subs, they have a habit of NEVER putting the video code in a consistent position in the filename. And I got multiple semi-overlapping packs. Was a huge mess, now after deleting a lot of duplicates it's down to 1007 files. One of these days I will write another program to detect and delete the remaining dups. In the 1007 files, there are only 787 different video codes.

Speaking of, I could zip that up in case there are interest to make something out of it. Personally I don't see a huge potential, of the 787, a lot of them are already available in Chinese.

thanks. He excludes all r*** theme subtitle. I don't know if he does that himself or the source does that.

I doubt it's by theme. It's simple, just the top studios/top labels. I think (hmm maybe I should check) when top labels do r***, it's not excluded from SRT.

From your previous 5 or 6 packs, I scanned through them, r*** theme are skipped. Some time you see a straight 656 657 658 659 661, 660 is skipped and it's r***
