So, Ghostbird, you've been keeping us in suspense about The Gay Monk, as you have teased us more than once about making your presentation. (First time was back in September, and you repeated your announcement at the top of this page.)

And, ahhhh! So that's who you meant! But... that's the Glabrous Grinner.

If a male actor has already been covered and nicknamed, it doesn't serve a purpose to re-nick him, because no one will know whom we are talking about. Please read the back pages if you come up with an actor worth noting, to make sure he hasn't already been taken care of.

For example, Robbus was kind enough to make a delightful contribution in October, but he missed the fact that "The Golden Archer," who was beautifully nicknamed by Jack 1956 long ago, was already attended to, and so he came up with his own nickname of "The Doctor." Since readers of this thread have come to know The Golden Archer as The Golden Archer, if Robbus were to go around elsewhere on Akiba-Online referring to The Golden Archer as "The Doctor," would that not defeat the purpose of giving these actors some kind of an identity we would like to know them as? (Because few will recognize their real names.)

I'm mentioning this because I noticed you referred to the Neanderthal, who has been called that a long time ago, on another thread by the name that has been embellished in your mind, "Debut Guy." Of course, we can all come up with our own nicknames and go around referring to these actors by our own nicknames, but that can only lead to one heck of a Tower of Babel.

On the other hand, you pointed out an actor we've never discussed here, whom you have labeled as "Young Debut Guy" -- all right, that fellow is now known as Young Debut Guy. But for heaven's sake, don't throw around the name you personally associate with the Neanderthal, also for the reason that it's confusingly similar to Young Debut Guy.

Those of you who would like to get everyone to become aware of the male actors (who have not yet been covered), which is the whole purpose of this thread, please:

1) Check the back pages to make sure he has not already been covered;
2) The nickname you come up with should be distinctive, and not resemble any other nickname;
3) The nickname should describe a noticeable trait of the actor, and another name as part of the nickname should be avoided.

As for Rule Number Three, I've skirted a bit close to that one myself, as I have just done with Punk Brody, and also with Roman Polanski Twerp. I prefer not to do this at all unless the name is too compelling, but the rare times I do, I make sure to add a word that gets to the essence of the actor (as with "punk" and "twerp," in these cases) so that the combination becomes its own entity, and the name part hopefully does not become confusing.

Now, Ghostbird, I see (as you have written on top of this page), that you are planning to introduce Ittesu Suzuki whom you are thinking of calling "DJ Yoshitaka"; but Ittesu Suzuki has already been introduced (Agegap got to the bottom of who he was). Now, Ittesu Suzuki has not been nicknamed, so do feel free to come up with a nickname... but don't make it "DJ Yoshitaka." That may mean something to you, but it sounds like another bewildering Japanese name (see Rule #3!), and you might as well then use his real name, if members won't know whom you are talking about. Select a name that is simple, memorable, and describes the actor... perhaps to the tune of "Pretty Boy." (An article about him.)

I like that nickname, "Snorlax Delinquent"... don't recognize him, and the choice of the second pair of photos was not very revealing... but hopefully we will get to know him better in time.

I just saw The Teacher - Seeing a Former Student, She Turned Wet and Unfaithful [ADN-032] (starring Yui Hatano), not only featuring end credits, but subtitles had been made available.



Not familiar with the "villain," the former student who eventually wins over his ex-sensei. I liked him; he was good-looking for a change, and his eyes were expressive. Let's call him Eyeful. (Not that he towers.)





After the female star, his must have been the first billing, which the subtitler translated as "Shinji Matsuyama."

As a note, the second-billed probably was the actor who played the husband, whose name was translated as "Yuuchi Ryuukawa."

This other actor had somewhat of a goofy look, and reminded me a bit of the actor Ted Raimi. Dunno what to call him; Cockamamie?

Got private word from Ghostbird of the big project he has dropped hints about, far as his compilation of male actors. Our friend has put out a big effort, although I have yet to learn what he intends to do with what he has come up with so far. Anyway, from a sample I could see he has singled out a few other actors he hasn't had the time to showcase here, and I decided to jump the gun with one. He has called this fellow:

Kim Jong Il



Now that goes against the "rule" I came up with (so good to be the King) to not base nicknames on real names, but there is also another rule... and that is, every rule has an exception. Obviously, Ghostbird has seen a resemblance with the North Korean dictator — and inasmuch as this nickname is still not the best idea, because not everyone knows who Kim Jong Il is (and the last part of his name is spelled with an "i", that is, "il"; it's not the Roman numeral "II") — so be it!

Got the chance to check out MIMK-016 and it turned out... the actor was The Bad, after all.

So never mind the "Kim Jong Il" reference, at least for this thread... that nickname's only relevance now becomes for this one particular role of The Bad's, and his resemblance to the Korean dictator. I am not a fan of The Bad, but this was a very good role for him. (The Bald Thug was in the cast, as well.)

Maybe this guy has already been brought up on this thread, but I don't think so. (And I don't feel like scrounging around to make sure; if he has, I'll mention it with an EDIT, and you can mention it, too.) He is a big JAV fixture, especially with the older movies, and I have seen him many times. He usually has an annoying "big shot" air about him, not unlike the Creep. I caught him now in IESP-400, and wished to make a note.

Thanks to Hatsupaw, it turns out "Bug-Eyes" was an actor we've already covered... Jun Hosaka ( 保坂順); I am surprised, because I regarded Jun as a normal, even handsome JAV actor, and in the movie mentioned here he had come across as eccentic, even wacky. I know that doesn't make sense, but what I'm really getting at, I s'pose, is that the "Bug-Eyes" nickname now seems ill-fitting for one I had perceived as a regular guy.

According to this page, he received a 2007 SOD Best Actor award. We are also told, "High-pitched speaking voice is characteristic."

Female Warrior of Subordination Chapter 5 THE HALL MARK [CMN-101] (starring Suzu Wakana), which I wrote in some detail about on this post if you are interested, featured unusual credits in the opening sequence, not only with the names in English, but with the addition of character names used in the movie as well. In the closing credits, the names were also provided in Japanese. I wanted to make a note for the purposes of this thread, but unfortunately, most of the characters were shown in shadows, so there will be no easy way to make match ups.



The male star is Bad Bald Bastard (C. Sakurai), a fixture in torture movies. The only other main "clear" face in the movie was this actor, who plays the second-in-command:



And he is wearing sunglasses, so even here we can't easily figure out who the actor is; I don't remember seeing him anywhere, but he's got some "bulk" to him (Bulky?) and he has potential, as far as keeping him in mind for the future.

His name is Takashi Nisumi.

The only other discernible face was this fellow wearing white hair, seen only for a moment with some clarity. He also looks interesting, but to single out his name with the provided clues, one has to listen hard to the character name he has been provided with. That's hard enough to do, even when you know the language. (Since his character appears to have clout, i.e., some top guy in the racket, could he possibly be playing Motohashi, or "The Director"? See credits below.)

Akky Shinonome plays Yumioka, Joh Asagari plays Motohashi, Masao Minai as Igarashi, Mr WHO as "The Bodyguard," and Yuichi Shingyoji as Kanai.

(I clicked through a few links, comparing with screen shots of each title, trying to confirm... before finally coming upon one featuring Beerbelly, which turned out to be TYOD-303 — he is on the sixth screen shot of that movie's JavLibrary page, atop "User Reviews"). The name in English is Yuta Imai and here is his Warashi page. (I'm uncomfortable the man in that page's photo looks different.)

I became aware of another calorically-challenged JAV actor with reddish hair (How about we call him Chunky Cherry) by the time I put up an early Stream DOWNLOADS post called "Insults Added to the Widow’s Injuries." This actor had appeared in two of the movies that were featured, RBD-312 and HNB-054 (photo I had put up for the latter), and he really impressed me in these movies. He is the one who came across as the different-looking fellow on the Warashi page. Clicking through the page on the Kimomenav site, both actors showed up. Here was a recent one (from February 2016) for Chunky Cherry, GIGL-267:



For a long time, he has been around (as well as round); for example, VIPR-209 from 2008:



Avdanyu's page for Yuta Imai also features Chunky Cherry; it took me a while, but I can now see this was indeed the same man as Beerbelly.

But hark! Not all is lost. I later noticed him in The Most Obscene Sex With An Unconscious Woman!! Original Story By The Doujin Author, Kuroneko Smith. Let Me Use Your Hole, Mom. The Live-Action Version Of The Incestuous Comic Featuring A Drunk Mother Who Gets Creampied!! [URE-029] (with Saryu Usui ) where he once again played a bad sonny boy.



And this movie featured cast credits as well. What luck!



Now what were the chances of his credit being obscured again by the yellow lines, this time at the other end of the frame! (Oh, those accursed yellow lines... there is no getting away from them.)

Grey Woof



First mentioned him here; I've been seeing a lot of him lately (in ATTACKERS movies), trademark being the grey hair. Usually plays bosses, as with the shots above and below, from Untold Daily Submission [ADN-088]... but I've also seen him in less respectable roles, such as a repairman, and a bus molester.



The movie featured end credits, and here is what we got onscreen after a separate and main title card for the starring actress:



The top one must be for Grey Woof, who had the prominent male role:



Only thing that troubles me is that my best guess for this actor, from the end credits I had earlier posted (again, the link) for him (for ADN057) looks different:



Perhaps the man from that movie was a different grey-haired actor? Or sometimes there are different variations of Japanese names... I don't have the time to fully investigate, at the moment.

Grey Woof was also in ADN-062 (a "Dear Forgive Me" one, where he played a boss again), and the top line from that movie's end credits matches the name above; so this is indeed him:

Yeah, that guy in the photo doesn't look much at all like Grey Woof. Yet the Japanese lettering in his name matches the name from the screen credits, and given that the name appeared (as top billing) in two different movies where this actor was featured prominently, that name must unmistakably belong to the grey one.

That Warashi site had every single credit for the actor from uncensored fare such as
Caribbeancom and 1pondo, and I needed to find movies of his that were in my collection. So I went to the other actors' reference site, Avdanyu.wiki, and luckily they have this man listed. Their modest filmograpy at least listed normal JAVs, such as MIGD-472 and RBD-394, RBD-414... in fact, there were a good several ATTACKERS movies, which was promising. (In that he had a relationship with the studio.)

Remarkable how different he looks, particularly since what's above are from around 2012, only four years ago. Is it possible for a man to have changed so drastically? Yet there are certain signs, to my eye, that makes him one and the same.
