There is a recent thread that relates to this, and there, I expressed my view on Japanese beauty. I took a look at Honjo Shuzu now, and even though she would kinda fit on my "Exotic Beauty" list in yet another related thread, I wouldn't call her astonishingly beautiful. Beauty is subjective, and yet, some girls (and guys) feel that they deserve special treatment just because they are beautiful. In my opinion, this is almost never the case with porn. Beautiful doesn't equal sexy, and sexy doesn't equal good wank material

Like, there is Tsukada Shiori whom I wouldn't call beautiful, and in some titles she doesn't even look that pretty, but boy, is she sexy. Then there is another almost unknown favorite of mine, Takagi Chisato, who is just plain-looking, and yet, for me, she is extremely sexy due to her skills and the contrast it creates ("such a plain girl has such great oral skills and lewdness potential?!.")

There are girls who are pretty, sexy and wank-worthy, and in JAV, I would name quite a few, including some of those in my Top 10, and some beyond that, like Amaharu Noa maybe, or Suzu Yamai, or Natsume Airi. Again, subjective, but I think those are all different things (i.e. beauty, sexiness and wank-worthiness are different metrics)

Noa is underrated. I hope she doesn't get too pigeon-holed with the hardcore stuff or that she burns out. I miss Airi Natsume. She was Tsubomi-like to me.

Overrated
1. Pretty much almost every single S1 exclusive actress. they only have big boobs and cute face but their performance are sooo boring

I have watched some S1 vids and I more or less agree. They just need better direction though

2. Yuna Shiina : I used to like her during her first run but ever since her comeback she became total boredom to watch

Someone already said that pre-retirement Yuna was awesome, and I agree

3. Julia : Just like Yuna Shiina, used to love her during 2010-2011 run. but now she's playing too safe and her movies are just boring

She plays is a little safe, but her hip control is more interesting than before. Her BJs are boring though

4. Mio Kimijima : I don't know how she's lasting this long. her acting sucks and her performance is mediocre
5. Eimi Fukada : Many already mention her. she's mediocre as hell

She is/was consistent but she's had her moments. Definitely overrated for the amount of attention she received though.

6. Aimi Yoshikawa : Same reason with Eimi Fukada

The worst of this group

7. Ai Kano : Obviously fake bookbs and obviously fake tits. there's nothing real about her. she's just living sex doll. i might overlook her fakeness if her performance and acting is good but it's not

I don't love the overly surgery look, but she has her moments. I've seen throw it back in a hot way. Either she isn't consistent or her direction isn't good. But she has potential

3. Yuu Kawakami : She's better than Yumi Kazama and Chisato shoda combined. has wide range and can play any role perfectly

I definitely disagree that she's better than Yumi. I've already cited EMU-054 and I've never seen a BJ video from Yuu that competes. Same goes for the soapland video.
