I don't recommend Pimax 4K. They are old tech. They only use 60 Hz, Quest 2 is 90 Hz. And it has judder. And without controllers, you need to use the player with your head, it is very awkward.
Thanks for your input. I figured that since I am not playing games, 60 Hz may be enough to prevent the motion-sickness or headaches, I can't imagine moving my head much while watching a movie.
I have a remote keyboard/mouse that I am using to control my HTPC while watching movies on the TV screen, I should be able to use that to control the simple VR movie player, right? (correct me if I am wrong)
The biggest problem now is to wait for the new GPUs to be back in stock, which may be a multi-year wait, I need to upgrade to a new Nvidia RTX 3000 series GPU, even though my current GT 1030 can output 4k resolution at 60 Hz, I still want to upgrade to a RTX 3060 or 3070 for better overall performance with VR.
