War Against Post Whores

I hate the guys in JAV torrent sections who post a thanks message on about 30 threads. These guys haven't even downloaded the torrents yet still write 'thanks' on random threads.

These post whores need a slap. Can they be limited to like 3 posts a day - if they are found to be a post whore. Anymore ideas to fight these clowns?

I think most of them do not understand English. If they did, they would have noticed the countless "click the thanks button instead of posting thanks" messages scattered around by torrent & direct download posters. Or maybe they just don't know how to abide by rules? I really have no idea. Some of them can't even spell the word "thanks" properly.

I will support any action rendered against these post whores.

They are a bunch of morons who wouldn't understand it no matter how many languages you wrote it in. They rarely post anything else so just delete their accounts.

I'm glad I'm not alone in my dislike of these muppets. Actually, this website is almost perfect. A lot of work goes into making this site so great - it's a pity these post whores try to spoil the party.

I have quite the opposite view ...

Let them post "Thank you"s all they want. It's better than leeches who never say "thank you" and never click the "Thanks" button. There far worse things that go on in the forums - Threads that get hijacked so someone can spout off their morallity at us ... Petty arguments that can get quite heated, usually about nothing meaningful ... name calling, insults ...

If you're bothered because you go into a torrent sub-forum looking for new torrents and find many that have simply been bumped by a "thank you", that's why we asked Chompy to add the original post date next to the original poster's name - so we could see what's new and what's not.

I even started a thread for funny and amusing "Thank you"s (though, sadly, it has had few responses).

I think "Thank you" posts are, first of all, harmless, and secondly, perhaps they make the people who do share things feel good and maybe want to share some more. If you don't like "Thank you" posts, you should go hang out at Kawaii15.com (somebody is rofl-ing right now). They really don't like them over there, and have deleted my "Thank you" posts occasionally.

I agree with some of Rubix's points. But the point I was trying to make was some posters just randomly type "thanks" on 30 threads which they haven't even had time to download. Those 'thanks' messages are worthless at best. Some uploders deserve more genuine 'thanks' messages though!

There is a "Thanks" button; why don't they just use that? This is what it is there for, not just to fill a blank spot on the page; it is annoying to receive an email notification of a reply to a thread only to find that it is some half witted "Thanks" or Cheers" crap.

In this forum, on a new thread called "SOD Sadistic Village Melting Bikini ....." etc. there is a total of 9 posts; 8 replies, 4 of which say either "Thanks", or "ty". One of these is from a poster with 1614 post total who should know better, one is from a person with 4 posts, all of which are on that thread, and the remainder are from 2 people with only one post each, WTF?
Use the fucking "THANKS" button!

I have given this some thought, the trouble with limiting to 3 posts it stops the posters who contribute huge amounts that keep this site going, I think it would be very hard to find out who the random hitters are, I guess there are the obvious ones, but even these still would hard, but sometimes some may say thanks before and whilst downloading, so they then could go on to the next thread, and thus not forgetting to say thanks, I myself have done this a couple of times.

My thoughts are that it is more annoying those who do not say thanks, and illumintus proved that on one of his posts, when you had to request the password

Who has 32 posts in 5 months here.
He has graciously clicked the "thanks" button 8 times in those five months.
The bulk of his humongous 32 replies are one and two short sentences that are vulgar and valueless, and yes, there are a few with "thanks" and "Thank you" at the end of these skimpy posts.
I must say daveswba, who the hell are you to critique these other posters who take the time to give out polite (even if misspelled) thanks to the creators of the thread you speak of?
How the hell do you know if the "thanks" poster has downloaded the vids or not? You psychic or what?

Two years here and only twenty five posts? Granted, you do know where the thanks button is much better than daveswba does, but with such a weak posting record who are you to call these people who respond politely as "Post whores"?

I vote for Aqua as the next moderator. No smut, but lots of 'thanks'.


PS. The reason I know the post whores haven't downloaded the movies - is simple. 5 minutes after the movies are posted the post whores 'thank' the uploaders for all of their 30 uploads!! Even for the movies that can't be downloaded properly!

I give thanks the same way, hit the thanks button right after D/Ling the last part and then i move on to other areas of the board. The preview pics tell it all and are the denominator whether I D/L or not. Whats the big deal?
Ya still haven't answered why you've been here half a year and are so busy D/L and analyzing others thanking habits you seem to have only had 8 opportunities to express the time and effort the poster has given to present this fine material. I'm sure you've D/L'ed tons more than 8 vids.
I never said it was bad to post vulgar comments, to each his own but the bulk of yours seem to have the words "cock" and suck" in them and is that a way to express gratitude?

I don´t know what you are complaining. Most of the visitors of our site are from Japan, many of these perhaps do not know english very well, just look how many thx posts are not even written correctly.

Second: reviewing some posts people often have problems to find the "edit" button, so they may have the same problems with the "thanks" button...

Third: there is no rule prohibiting those thx / ty / thanks post, so mods have no reason to go against it yet, we only delete senseless posts like "up", "011", "012" or such just repeating the name of the actress ment in the post ref to rule #7...

This should be entertainment, it is a long as people do not post for business (some people do though...) or as a reputation hunter, even some people you ment. in your best uploaders thread do...

So what is the problem, a thx post does not hurt anyone nor it is giving any advantage, neither to the thread starter nor for the thx poster...

There are other things causing bigger problems than a simple thx...

And you don´t need to dl a torrent or a DDL to thank someone, some people even write thx posts for just recognizing a post and find it worth to thank for though, so even this seems not to be negative for me in any way...

I have downloaded movies I did not like or even poor quality, but still thanked the poster for uploading, I have sometimes written in a message afterwards saying why I did not like it.

As somebody else said it is entertainment, so lets enjoy the pleasures this site gives us and thank the posters for there troubles, happy hunting.

I went as far as PMing a few of the worst offenders that were doing the same thing in the JAV forum; every movie had this one guys thanks. There was no way he could have possibly downloaded all of them. I noticed he was also thanking every torrent when I checked his stats.
