Thanks Pavane for the feedback. The size and color of the subs is hard to accommodate for everyone because we each have our own preferences. What I can offer is (1) if you have AegiSub you can modify the default text for the subs to your liking and then save the .ass file or (2) open the .ass file with a simple text editor and make some small changes to the following line in the subs

Format: Name, Fontname, Fontsize, PrimaryColour, SecondaryColour, OutlineColour, BackColour, Bold, Italic, Underline, StrikeOut, ScaleX, ScaleY, Spacing, Angle, BorderStyle, Outline, Shadow, Alignment, MarginL, MarginR, MarginV, Encoding
Style: Default,Arial,20,&H0000FFFF,&H000000FF,&H00000000,&H00000000,0,0,0,0,100,100,0,0,1,2,2,2,10,10,10,1​

The bold red controls the font. I believe it is as simple as replacing the value with the appropriate font name. For example, if you wanted Arial Black you would just replace Arial with Arial Black.

The bold green controls the size of the subs. You can increase this to suite your preference.

The bold blue controls the primary font color. This is tricky because you need to know the code for the color. I believe the value I put there is for yellow. This is where I think AegiSub helps because you just pick the color from the color picker and it will put the appropriate code.


But those three modifications would allow you to customize the subs to your liking.

PGD-387 was provided by BlackSabbath from the ScanLover forum. There is a thread over there and he was taking requests. He seemed to be able to get PGD-387 out pretty quickly. It appears he has plans to do more, we'll see...

@elfineer, unfortunately I don't have the time. Work has taken all of my time and will continue that way for the foreseeable future. I haven't been able to complete the time coding a Risa Kasumi JAV. It is probably 80 to 90 percent done but I don't have the time to get to the rest of it. Maybe in November or December of this year I will be able to return to it and hopefully at that time Desioner also has availability but I haven't reached out to him in a very long time. I hope that he does have time and is willing because, if I say so myself, I think we've made a pretty good team and have produce some really good subtitles.

avidolz.com has a lot of jav with English subtitles, it's of the uncensored variety so a lot of the action is a bit on the boring side but it is interesting to learn about the kind of things they are speaking about.

Can say something about the quality of the subs? Are these good translations? Because some people only "translate" what they think what the people say, not what they really say.

I don’t speak Japanese, so unfortunately I can only say that the subtitles seem plausible enough to give me an idea of what is happening in the films, even though they are written in Japlish.

Taking a quick look at Chief Inspector Marano Hitoshi Vol. 5 might help you decide if they are any good. This is part of a more drama oriented series where the plucky Chief Inspector and his partner make their way through the murkier sides of the Tokyo underworld, having sex with with the ladies they encounter. By the fifth instalment, investigations have led the pair to a hospital where they suspect one of the nurses to be the daughter of a corrupt president.

Marano wastes no time to get his questioning underway.



But his partner likes what he sees and wants a piece of the action for himself



After learning the nurse clocks off at midnight, he tries to arrange to meet her later…



Learning she is up for the rendezvous really cheers him up



Later in the nursing station, she enquires about his length of stay…



Like all good nurses, she’s concerned about any build up of “pressure” he may be experiencing…



But first, she needs to make sure he understands the rules of engagement.



She likes what she sees, but he’s playing bashful…



Undeterred, she quickly gets to work.



All too soon, she’s decided it’s time to deal with that pressure build up…

I wonder if computer translation will happen soon? I know a doctor from India who says they have that in hospitals. JAV could be next...

Microsoft should a video in which they demonstrate an just-in-time translation feature for Skype. And it seemed to work very well.
There is only one problem: They should a Skype session between an English and a German speaking person. These languages are very close to each other. So it is the best case you can have.
But if you have tried some translation tools between English and Japanese (and vice versa) e.g. as Google translate, you know how bad the translation is most of the time. And it is even text - there is no speech recognition.
So I guess it will take a few years until then. You would be definitely faster if you learn the language. And you don't have to relay on technique (like your phone, etc.).
I also think that a language gives a peak inside how people think and their culture and society works. You won't get that with some translation tools.

Hi again everyone.

OK, I have given this more thought, and here is my proposal:

I made a Fiverr account for a layer of protection for both parties for payments. I just made it, so I can only list single jobs for $5. Once I have 10 completed orders and been on for 30 days, it will be easier to order.

After thinking long and hard, and watching the suggested idol video, I have decided on a fee of $10/scene. So, in the case of the first scene in the first video, she comes to the door, then talks at the desk, and then does her thing by the curtain. After that they are at the beach – I would consider that the next scene.

That may seem a bit steep, but please consider the following:

• Time: I need interact with the client, I need to download the video, I need to watch whole the scene (as there are sometimes lines of dialogue in the middle), I need to jump back and forth to line up subtitles... etc. So, it takes a fair bit just for one scene.
• Likey, anyone on this site did not pay the $30-40 for the DVD in the first place, so, paying a little won’t hurt (^_^)v
• While I will leave it to the client ultimately, since it is just another file that could be distributed with the torrent. As such, instead of thinking about paying for a whole DVD at $50-$60, you could team up and split the cost. So, if there are people that want a sub for “[BGYU-001] Yamanaka Tomoe”, they could discuss it, and each order one scene. When it is done, everyone can enjoy it. (Only pay for one scene but get a whole movie!)

If a purchase is made, please send the torrent file as an attachment, or at the very least the URL of the torrent (not the page please – I don’t want porn popping up at work!). Alternately, something like www.wetransfer.com could be used after the order. Once I am done I will send back the .srt file. If a few people want to get together and request a whole DVD, please let me know in the order.

I have enquired to JAVtoENG about a translation of FAJS-035 and he has come back to me and told me he is willing to translate the movie for $40(4 scenes at $10/scene). Looking at his suggested payment method above through his Fiverr account it would take only 8 of us paying $5 each(hell, if there are 40 of us we could do it for a dollar each). Is anyone else interested in having this movie translated?

After doing a bit more...

I think I need to charge $5 for 5 minutes of JAV video. Maybe $10 for a scene of an idol video.

I know it sounds expensive, but it takes time to listen to everything and add subtitles. 20 minutes can take me 45-60 minutes to do correctly

So, you could

1) chose 5 minutes of the movie you are interested in (ie from 1 minute 30 second mark until 6 minute 30 second mark) likely acceptable since the dialogue is usually only 5 minutes before the action starts and then it's mostly "kimochi" and "iku iku!" (o_0)

2) Or you could pool money with your friends and split the cost if you want a thorough job.

I feel bad it costs this much, but any cheaper and I couldn't feel justified doing it...

FAJS-035 English translation



I recently commissioned a translation of FAJS-035 from JAVtoENG who was kind enough to give a very reasonable pricing offer to me for the whole movie. There is not a massive amount of talking in the movie and to be honest it's not hard to get the gist of whats going on without the subs but i chose it because i'm a massive fan of Fa-Pro and their movies (http://www.akiba-online.com/threads/fa-pro-collection-aofa-fad-fax-fajs-akbs-havd-htms.1303379/) and this one is the most recent movie that came to mind.

The first half of the movie stars Kaori Saejima who plays a housewife living with her husband and father-in-law. She has a sex scene with her husband first, a pretty straight forward scene, before the father in law makes his move the next morning. We are reminded that he has already forced himself onto her before in a short flashback scene, and then they start getting down to it again. This time he records the act and afterwards makes sure that she knows he has it taped so he can get a repeat performance.



The second half stars Maki Azusa. She plays a housewife whose husband tells her that his uncle is coming to stay over, something she is very much against. Over dinner the uncle gets very drunk and makes some very disparaging comments about his nephew and questions why she is with him while also asking about their sex life. The wife seems to hate it but privately has confused feelings about the uncle. In the night their is a short sex scene between husband and wife before the husband takes the uncle away in the morning. The uncle finds an excuse to return before forcing himself onto her. She quickly gets into it and fucks him willingly, and afterwards when she is talking to her husband on the phone he starts trying it on again which she consents to.
