Performers like Minori Hatsune, Sora Aoi or Yuma Asami aged very gracefully, and by the end of their AV career had an elegant and distinguished lady-like look to them.
Well, despite all the brainwash metoo coercion claims including nozomi aso recently and a few that's still active outside of av that quietly removes their work like mihiro and saori hara, the av industry is still very saturated. I think she doesn't have the urge or commitment to be like sora Aoi in rebranding herself as a capable actress. She had her chance to lead in Taiwan before in a less campy typecast role, but didn't capitalize on it much.
She still have her gigs in cosplay like Tia and the yakuza game, which surprisingly I think she's in a lot of them compares to the older and newer girls like Maria, okita, kana, yuanmikami. It's downhill if she doesn't maintain her body even if her celebrity's look alike fame can't last forever, which is her big reliance consider the amount of crowd she used to draw in events outside of Japan and airport photos. A decade is very long time along with Jessica, hibiki, akiho, satomi yuria still topping sales with new idol competition. Unlike the past, retire av idols are still socially active even after retirement hoping for some opportunities and recognition elsewhere even if its small update. Koharu seems to be more positive now and maybe she wants to get back in, so she won't try to offend anyone and join the others in attacking the industry. It's a shady long time business in Japan and their voices aren't taken that seriously.
Yuma not so much after her surgery. Like anri okita and a few more, she did try to fulfill her singing career dreams. The original gen muscat members that's left are Jessica and akiho, who are both still doing av. The others fade away while some key / famous members like sora aoi, maria ozawa, and mihiro are still in the entertainment industry. 36 instead of 30 ? wow. Well, guessing asian girls age is not easy. I always took interviews as promo, not real facts (first time, etc...). Not sure if it's true but I read somewhere that the girls need their parents permission to enter the industry if they are under the age of 20. If that's true, then a lot of the women who claim that they started out at 18 or 19 are lying. Technically 18 is the legal age that girls are allowed to film AV. But with the current climate in the industry, the legit agencies will rather play it safe and employ girls age 20 and above where they are legally independent.
Some may have shitty family and relatives that sexual harasses them or they're just plain slutty whores.
